It’s been a little quiet on page of late, but lots going on behind the scenes!. It has been the time of year to catch every bug going and take some time from the day job to rest and recuperate, am nearly back on my feet although a little squeaky in the old voice box.

So what’s happening here at Noble Serenity, well illness meant some of the training had to be postponed to later this month but all is good and I will be completing the natural lift facial massage very soon, followed by a refresh and update on pregnancy massage. I look forward to adding these to the list of treatments already offered.

The other news is that I will be joining my daughter at Urbanlash Aesthetics on a Wednesday and alternate weekends hopefully from March, but more to come on that.

One size does not fit all when it comes to regulation strategies.

If I'm dysregulated from overheating and being stuck in a hot, noisy classroom- a fidget spinner is not going to help me.

It's why I don't love classroom accommodations that specify that a child 'may use their approved regulation tool for 5 minutes when needed'. It's well-meaning. But it's very possible that it won't be effective at all.

The same thing won't work every time.
And it's important to address the causes of dysregulation and ensure that the kid has plenty of options for regulation. And, importantly, the kid needs to be able to decide which strategies they will try. Why? Because it's their body, their sensory system, their life.

Finally- you can't put a time frame on it. It takes as long as it takes.
