Our wealth of experience and your knowledge of your child's needs ensures that we work together to give your child the very best and positive experience of nursery life. We support our children's social and independence skills as well as their learning and development to ensure a smooth progression through the nursery years.
All parents have access to our ParentZone app which allows parents to add to their children's development record as well as seeing photos and observations of the children taking part in all aspects of nursery life.
Congratulations to Lauren at Theale who is celebrating her 1 year anniversary! Thank you for all your hard work. ๐
Today the Little Cubs and Cheeky Monkeys Up at Tigers enjoyed going for a walk to the park. The children had fun exploring on the equipment. They also enjoyed looking at the natural environment around them and collecting various natural objects. ๐๐๐
The ladybird children at Theale have noticed a change in weather recently, they have explored the different coloured leaves, sticks, pinecones and other natural resources. The children have enjoyed feeling the textures, hearing the crunching of leaves, experimenting with various colours and noticing the shorter days. ๐๐๐ชต๐ชน
Talk like a Pirate Day was yesterday! The children at Theale have been making treasure maps using tea bags, using various resources to make their own boat in the garden and have been exploring tuff trays and treasure. ๐ฆโ๏ธ
The Owls room have been making their own playdough today. They then picked herbs from the garden to mix into it and searched for sticks to use as rolling pins and decoration :)
Update: we have found the owner โบ๏ธ
We have just had this handed in at Tigers in Thatcham. It was along the road near the hospital.
It looks like someones favourite toy so if anyone recognises it please let them know we have it
Our staff recognise the importance of communicating with children in every way, from using speech and tone of voice, gestures and of course facial expressions.
Your child is welcomed into nursery by a smiling, familiar and interested member of the nursery team to promote a positive interaction with nursery life. ๐
Congratulations to Sam who is celebrating 9 years at Tigers. Thank you for all of your hard work. ๐๐ฅณ

These are just a few of the activities we have been doing at Tigers to support literacy development. Each room has a book corner so that children can self select books, we add props to the book corners that relate to favourite stories to encourage language and imagination. Mark making is a really important pre-writing skill where children learn to give meaning to marks and practice the actions needed to eventually form letters. One of their favourite ways to do this is with the water and brushes on the fences outside โ๏ธ๐
Congratulations to Michael who is Employee of the month at Tigers. The Employee of the month is voted for by the parents. All votes go into a file that staff can look back on โบ๏ธ

Each of our families receives a comforting welcome pack when your child starts their trial sessions with us, so Mums and Dads can make themselves a comforting drink using their Tigers mug and your child has their new bag to pack their nursery essentials in.
It's a welcome to the Tigers family with useful items to smooth the family's transition into nursery life and support the link between nursery and home.
Literacy day is fast approaching: 08.09.24. To celebrate the children at Swindon at Tigers have been on a Bear Hunt sensory walk, used playdough to make wiggly worms, like Super worm and ate snack like the Hungry caterpillar. In the afternoon the children explored the story trays of Goldilocks and the three bears and The Tiger who came to tea. What a busy day!
This week the children in the Ladybird Room at Theale have been focusing on farm animals, the activities have included farm animal printing, sensory trays, decorating and milking their own cow and making farm animal shaped shortbread. The parents have also been sending in photos from their visits to the farm, so the children have been able to link their experiences from home to Nursery. ๐ท๐ฎ๐๐๐
