What a wonderful Summer Fair!

It was lovely to see our school community together enjoying all the activities, music, dancing, pony rides, bouncy castle, hockey, This is Us group and the Fire and Police Vehicles- it was AMAZING! ☀️

On the day our SuperBloom garden was officially opened by Sue Hobbs (Forest School Leader) and Georgie who helped design the garden. What an amazing achievement and a beautiful garden for all to enjoy.

A huge Oakley THANK YOU to our PTA for all their hard work and to all our fantastic staff and families who came and supported the event.

Our Phase 4 pupils from Potter Class performed Peter Pan in front of an audience of parents, students and staff this morning and it was AMAZING! The students sung their hearts out and everyone who watched the show loved it!

A few pupils from Oakley School recently entered the Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom 'Mammals in your park' Art Competition. We are proud to say that 6 out of the 9 winners now have their artwork displayed outside the café in Dunorlan Park.

Why not take a wonder through Dunorlan and stop to look at their beautiful artwork by the café. Congratulations to all the winners!

During the final Full Governors Meeting of this academic, the School Council came to talk to the Governors and receive certificates finishing the meeting with a tour of the School.

On Saturday we had the Oakley Big Dig and WOW what a day!

70 volunteers arrived to help with all the hard work planned, friends, families and local business supporting Oakley School. Thank you Travis PerkinsTonbridge & Wickes Tunbridge Wells.

Sue Hobbs and her huge team of helpers completed so many tasks to include, Finishing the patio and wildflower area behind polytunnel, digging, weeding, and seeds sown.
Digging up an area opposite the wildflower section, installed posts and put trellis up. Edged the Superbloom garden in log roll, tended to beds in the Superbloom garden by digging, weeding and adding topsoil. The Flower/sensory garden was weeded and tidied with topsoil added and a chamomile bed created. Bat & bird boxes were put up, nettles in veg garden removed and the carrot troughs weeded!

What an amazing effort! Thank you so much for all your hard work and for bringing a community together with so many smiles and laughter.

Thank to the Sue Hobbs and the Friends of Oakley for supporting the day and providing all the refreshments.

We welcome home our Ski Trip group tomorrow and look forward to hearing all about their adventures in Italy!

Our young people on the ski trip have had a wonderful week in Pila Italy. They have participated in all activities both on and off the snow, embraced new challenges and the Italian culture. Thank you to everyone involved, the staff for all their hard work during the week and Interski who helped organise the trip for our pupils. We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday to hear all the news, have a safe journey home!

Spring has well and truly sprung in the Oakley School Gardens 🌱🌿🪴🌞

This Wednesday families can meet at the Longmead Sports Centre in Tonbridge for a Wellness Walk with our Family Support Worker Suzanne. Arrive for 9.30am at the cafe.
