UNPLUGGED RUNNING?
Yes or no? Runners pls comment below...
Now I'm not claiming to be a great runner here... or even a "real runner"
I run a 5k once every now and then just to check I still can (u know, incase in future a Zombie apocalypse happens and I need to get away a few miles) π§ββοΈ π€£
This pic above was a 10k (the furthest I've ever ran) 5 weeks of consistency running 3x a week to ensure I could run the distance. However after the race I went straight back to my usual zombie 5ks π€£
I've always wanted to be a real runner - like consistent and loving it... but I've never quite been able to keep the motivation and discipline π
So I've changed it up & made my last few runs unplugged, no watch or music, not knowing my distance, or pace, just listening to my body and stopping when I felt I had enough. Its felt gooooood and quite therapeutic to not know the data π«Ά
But today I only had 30 mins... so I popped my watch back on. The running playlist was booming, and wow, I couldn't believe the difference!
My pace was quicker and my heart rate much lower than usual β€οΈ
Coincidence? Or is unplugged running the way forward? π€ Β
We're walking away from last season guys and finally we celebrate the summer solstice! βοΈ
ITS officially SUMMER and wow what a glorious few days it's been π₯°
UPDATE:
The July schedule is now live and ready for bookings - there shall be no sessions 22nd and 29th July as I am away, however we shall still bounce through the school holidays as normal π

NASA describes rebounding as the BEST form of exercise yet devised by man!
Just 10 mins of rebounding has the cardiovascular equivalent to a 30 min run -
Without any pounding on those joints π
Rebounding increases cardiovascular fitness, balance, coordination & aids in lymphatic circulation. Many health practitioners recommend rebounding to people that are overweight or on the road to recovery after injury.
Rebounding offers less pressure on the body like a standard floor exercise...with every bounce the trampette takes the weight off of the skeletal system so you can build those muscles, burn fat and flush out toxins without the worry of risking injury β₯οΈ
Many ladies worry about rebounding if they have a weakend pelvic floor - however rebounding is not like trampolining.
When trampolining, the concept is to force the body upwards with high explosive moves (which can lead many of us to a leakage π)
However with rebounding it is the opposite... we are bouncing our bodyweight down into the trampette and controlling our stability. We can enjoy movement gracefully & gently and chose when/if comfortable to force additional body weight down harder to improve overall muscular strength.
When bouncing our muscles and core are strengthened automatically due to the body stabilising itself against gravity - without even realising! π€©
With every bounce we are performing kegals - contracting those pelvic floor muscles without even knowing it. Over time, this leads to improved core strength and very strong pelvic floor! π
If you've not tried our boogie bounce class yet then come have a boogie! This class is suitable for all, we have all ages, shapes & sizes in our classes. Such a lovely welcoming group - we don't take ourselves too seriously and have a good old giggle! π
Our trampettes hold up to 21 stone in weight & everyone has a safety bar handle.
These handles are great to help you gain confidence - when ready you can also perform higher jumps and leaps if you wish too!

Boogie bounce update!
Don't forget bouncers, there's sadly no class Monday 3rd :( the school have an open evening. I have penciled us in for Tuesday 4th instead at 18.30.
I know many of you cant make Tuesdays π
So if you do want to boogie next week please do book your spaces before Monday so I have a better idea of numbers. I can then inform the school if we are going ahead or not. π€ππͺ
