We are incredibly grateful to all the individuals who dared to participate in a skydive in support of the Hospice on 14th July! 💚

🪂 From those who had skydiving on their bucket list to those who were pushing themselves out of their comfort zone in memory of a loved one, everyone had a different motivation for jumping but shared the same goal of raising money for a good cause.

Alison Mitchell, Fundraising Director, said: “A huge well done to our brave skydivers for taking to the air to support our work! I am thrilled to say that they raised £15,500 so far. All funds raised help the Hospice to provide free care and support to people facing terminal illness and their loved ones.” 💬

Julia's son, Matt, was diagnosed with a brain tumour and decided to give up treatment in 2017. It wasn't until six years later that the grief caught up with Julia, and she decided to try counselling at the Hospice... 💬

We were pleased to welcome the team from Maison Médicale Jeanne Garnier to the Hospice on 18th June! 🙌

👉 Maison Médicale Jeanne Garnier is the biggest palliative care centre in France, and during their visit the staff received a tour of Cottage Hospice, the ward at Pembury, and learnt about the personalised support offered through the Hospice’s Living Well programme.

“It was a privilege to host the team from Maison Médicale Jeanne Garnier and we are delighted that they have been inspired by our work here at Hospice in the Weald," said Nick Farthing, Chief Excecutive. 💬

🤝 "It was also a fantastic opportunity to learn about their innovative work in Paris. Sharing knowledge helps us all to inform and improve the care we provide for those facing terminal illness and their families.”

Our second goes to our incredible local vendors: The Grill on the Wheel, Batch18, Everest Ice’s Taste The Nicest and The Booze Box Mobile Bars, for serving delicious refreshments at this year's Moonlight Walk! 🌝

Your contribution added a special touch to the event, and everyone involved enjoyed the sweet treats, gourmet burgers, and refreshing drinks on their walks! 🍔🍨

A massive to the team at Convergint who volunteered at our charity shops and warehouse for their Social Responsibility Day! 🛍️

These amazing people gave up their time to help out with sorting donations, tidying the shops, and assisting customers - making a big difference to our retail operations. Thank you all for your support! 👏

🗨️ "Since my Dad became unwell, I have raised money for the Hospice by skydiving, bake sales and running the London Marathon. It is a charity that will always have my support," said Jess.

"I started working at the Hospice about one month after participating in Hospice Run, which was another way of raising awareness for the amazing work being done here."

Over 500 of you came together to walk beneath the stars at Moonlight Walk - accompanied by dogs in bandanas, and even a pet cat! 😁

🌈 With walkers dressed in colourful wigs, tutus and glitter, the evening was a beautiful celebration of the lives of loved ones cared for at the Hospice.

💬 “It was a fantastic night. Thanks to all who took part in Moonlight Walk, to our main sponsor The Production Hub and to everyone who supported the event through sponsorship, donations or volunteering their time or skills," said Alison Mitchell, the Hospice's Fundraising Director.

She continued: "Every penny will make a difference to those facing terminal illness and their families when they need it most.” 💚

Jane's arty visitors have been generous with donations while enjoying the creative environment, papercraft demonstrations, and amazing homemade cakes - all in support of Hospice in the Weald. 🍰
