Today we have said goodbye to Carol Neilson who has helped from time to time with office work.

We wish Carol well in her new role and thank her sincerely for all that she brought to all of us. We will certainly miss her terribly.

Special thoughts today with those very loving Fathers who cannot be with their children today, for whatever reason. The pain and grief always feels tough, but that amount of love in your heart is something that you can hold, especially for them, forever. 🥰

This lawn, is a small section of lawn belonging to an exceptional, expansive property with acres of grounds.

This lawn in particular, being situated to the frontage of the main residence was an important one.

Originally completely full of moss, and looking in an extremely poor state, and with huge thanks in no small part to the work and commitment of Liam, Simon, John and Andy, as they worked to improve every aspect of these grounds; together with our industry leading lawn treatments, it now looks the part and shows off this magnificent property perfectly.

Very sad news. This year EDR Landscapes turns 10. And we’ve actually taken the time to stop and think about that last decade! The successes and the failures. Good decisions and mistakes.

From a position of surprise, unexpected unemployment and with a 6 year old Daughter to support; David founded EDR Landscapes in August 2014.

David wanted to do something different, in an industry dogged by rogue traders, unskilled and unqualified operatives and with zero insurance and dubious registration.

David knew from his significant experience as Head of a large Local Authority Operational Service, that the horticultural industry was full of passionate, educated and skilled gardeners and grounds maintenance operatives, and wanted to promote that element of the industry to a wider audience.

With no business experience, David embarked on a speedy process to unite him with key people in the industries of Marketing, Health and Safety, HR, Accountancy and lots more!

A few B and Q garden tools were all he could afford, with any other funds going on food and housing costs for himself and his Daughter. With the back seats of his car down and tools loaded, David delivered EDR’s first service. To Ralph and Joan in Chorlton, Manchester. Clients that still keep in touch to this day and follow EDR’s ‘goings on’ daily!

Today, EDR Landscapes are a leading provider of Domestic garden and Commercial Grounds Maintenance Services in the UK, with core teams and Franchised Operations covering an area from the Northern reaches of Cumbria, into Wales and into the South Midlands.

Meet Edward. Edward has been hitching a lift in the truck for the last 2 days. Today he decided he would venture back outside. It must have been the weather.

Some people will think he’s disgusting. But thanks to Apples magnificent IPhone I have been able to have a look at him quite closely. And I think he’s beautiful.

What do you think? And, genuinely, if anyone knows what he is, like the type of beetle (because some stupid person will write ‘beetle’!) It would be Interesting to know.

Anyway, he’s gone now. The last time I saw him he was crawling up the truck tyres 😮. Ah well. The pleasure was all mine Edward.
