Very pleased to have passed our vetting again for continued membership with the FIS.

They have noted the high quality of finish throughout the installation and overall for quality of construction we received a Very Good.

Our Graphicline solid partitioning with 12 double glazed units. Its the largest amount of windows in a row, I've seen for a while! The client is very happy with their new partitioning.

This client chose white panels with blue metal framework. Our standard colours for the metal work are white, black, grey and silver but that doesn't mean its the only colours we do! Both the vinyl, (that we use to decorate the panels) and the framework can be completed in a variety of colours.

They also chose a different size vision panel in the doors compared to our standard slim vision panels.

They showed that our partitioning can be customised to the business needs and tastes.

Hello Everyone. It has been a while since I've last posted- its been a busy few months at AVP!

Our team have just completed a glass partitioning front to an office. The ceiling is slanted and the floor to ceiling height is different along the whole run meaning each pane of glass had to not only be different heights but also have one side higher than the other! a lot of calculations and accurate measurements later- it all fitted perfectly as usual and I think it looks great.

This was a job local to us, and we were able to use local suppliers for the manifestations and glass. As a company, wherever possible we use local companies to support businesses in our area.

A ceiling we installed in a residential home last week. I love the cloud tiles, they are nice for the residents that need to stay in from the cold this time of year.

These works highlight one of the positives of our Graphicline partitioning, that being it can be taken down and relocated. This client had our partitioning in their offices already and needed a new layout to suit their changing business needs. We were able to complete the new layout without needing any extra materials meaning it saved the client money. Our partitioning can grow and change with your business.

Few pictures of works we completed last week. I really like the door vision panel size, it isn't something that clients often chose. However the client chose these to have the most natural light flow in their offices. By using our double glazed units we were able to achieve privacy with an open feel.

Bit of a different post from me this week. During my research regarding office spaces, I may have, ok I definitely, got side tracked by looking at 'The Benefits of Office Dogs' .

Here at AVP we are lucky to have two loveable dogs in our office, who add so much to the work place... Even when they are sleeping or falling asleep at the desk!

Below is a summary of what I have learnt about the positive impact of having dogs in the office environment.

A few pictures of our slimline glass executive partitioning installed this week. The client chose rather a funky manifestation and are very happy with their new partitioning.

Before commencing any works we always attend the site to take a detailed, accurate survey and measurements. This is an old building in Wells and the ceiling is different heights throughout, meaning each piece of glass had to be a different height - some were just a couple millimetres different, thanks to Mike's meticulous measurements it all fitted perfectly as usual.

We require a partitioning fitter for office partitioning systems, to join us on a permanent contract, needs to be adaptable, flexible and willing to learn.

Will be required to -

Fit office partitioning systems to a high standard of finish, ensuring compliance with company H&S standards, policies and procedures.

Ideal candidate –

Experience of construction industry, office partitioning, shop fit out, fabrication and/or carpentry preferred, although for the right person with an eagerness to learn new skills this is not essential as training will be provided.

Able to follow job specifications and produce a high quality finish.

Understand & effectively use (after-training) all required equipment & processes required for company procedures & standards.

Able to take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Good team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Presentable as you will be representing the company when out onsite. Uniform will be provided.

Use company vehicles to deliver materials and travel to and from site.

Happy to complete varying work tasks, onsite and within fabrication warehouse.

Excellent time keeping and a willingness to undertake early starts and overtime as and when required.

Hold a full drivers licence.

This could be an immediate start for the right applicant.

Salary will be dependent on skill, and will be discussed at interview.
