Just to let everyone know, we will be closed this coming Monday out of respect for the Queen. Back open Tuesday.

There’s no regatta prices here at the GP. We don’t put things up just for this weekend. Same price, same quality sandwiches. Sure you could go pay £10 for a sandwich or burger down the Pier from Big Bad Bobs Burger Van, but he probably hasn’t washed his hands.

As the weather starts to get warmer we have made the difficult decision to come up with a new rule. Every customer that tells us how warm it is inside the shop will have to pay a £2 fine which will go directly into James’s Dublin fund.

We know it’s warm. We’re the ones stood sweating in it all day.

Morning pork lovers. Here at the GP we always try to keep our prices as low as possible and haven’t increased our prices for about 8 years now. Sadly the time has come to do that. Pork and bread have increased several times over them years, but we’ve always kept the same price. From today our small pork sandwiches are £3.50, and the large are £4. Still an absolute bargain.

Morning pork lovers. Little bit of housekeeping…..forgot to mention we are now closed until Friday 11th Feb for a little holiday. By holiday I mean my dad is on holiday and I’m at home working my way through the list of jobs my wife wants doing. See y’all soon.

Afternoon pork fans. From Monday masks will no longer be mandatory in shops etc. Due to the heat we work in, and the fact we are leaning over a hot plate all day we have taken the decision that we will not be wearing masks in the shop. We will, however, have some in the shop, so should you want us to wear one, simply ask us to put one in and we will be happy to do so. Let’s all remember that everyone is different. Some people will stop wearing them, some will continue. Just because you don’t agree with one or the other, doesn’t make you right. Let’s all get along and spread the love through the power of a pork sandwich. Available in 2 sizes. No discounts given.

Apparently that’s Joanna Lumley on the left. Rumour has it she wasn’t happy we weren’t open. Well Joanna my old fruit cake, if you’d come during normal hours we’d have happily served you. Just cos you’re a celebrity doesn’t meant the rules don’t apply to you.

Anyway, we’re there today. Come see us (during normal hours) on your “exercise” for an absolutely fabulous pork sandwich. See what I did there? Top class comedy. You’d normally pay for that. I’m here all week.

In line with government guidelines on takeaways, at the moment we will be staying open through the lockdown. The main reason for doing this is that it means I can avoid home schooling, not murder child and sell in a sandwich disguise as pork.

In line with government policy on takeaways we have decided to stay open for the next 4 weeks for locals. We feel this is the right decision for 2 reasons.

1. We can only get 1 customer in the shop at one time so social distancing is easy.
2. If my dad spends 4 weeks at home my mum would probably kill him so we are saving her from prison.

We will be open Monday to Saturday. Unfortunately we will close on a Sunday. We aren’t robots. If you’re out on your daily exercise or still working in town, pop in and see us!

Usual business hours. Open when we get there, close when we’ve made enough money for a bigger boat.

Morning pork fans. It’s mask day! Don’t worry if you’ve forgot yours. Stand in the doorway outside the shop and we’ll be happy to serve you.

To celebrate the mighty whites return to their rightful place, we are doing a special this week. Same amazing sandwich.....same cheap price.....but all the pork is from pigs that were massive Leeds fans. If you’re not a Leeds fan, don’t worry about it. We won’t judge you. We know you’re jealous. You can still come in (1 at a time), and give us your money. We will accept it through your tears.

Just a quick message to let you all know we will be reopening this coming Saturday (13th). As we are a very small shop we ask for only 1 customer to be inside the shop at all times. Please don’t queue in the doorway and give people space to exit the shop safely. We will be doing all we can to make sure ourselves and our customers are safe at all times. Common sense goes a long way!!

What a strange world we live in at the moment. It’s like being in a film. I’m expecting zombies in the next few weeks. Many local businesses will now be doing take away food. Support them all.

We will be staying open and currently have no intention of closing. Usual business hours apply. Open when we get there, close when we’ve had enough.

After a couple of weeks off on holiday we are back open today. Pop in for a chat, but more importantly pop in and buy something. These holidays aren’t free you know!

Got a little helper in the shop today. This is my 11 year old son Harry learning the ropes. Come see him. Give him a tip. He’s 2 weeks behind on rent at home.
