Grace works

Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed.

This song was sung at my niece’s baptism today, what a blessed day to hear her 17 year old heart declare what Jesus has done in her life and her declaration that she wants to live a live with him leading the the way.

It takes me back to this picture done 3 Easter’s ago. His living breath spirit is alive and active today. Not timid but roaring like a lion.

This piece has been on loan in a climbing centre. It needed a good clean from all the chalk dust that had settled on it and will be coated with a layer of varnish.

My hubby wanted something individual up to represent the climbing community and adventure.

These pieces must stay together. It is a triptych and meant to lead you on a journey of the whole scene. 3 in 1 a “snippet” like the trinity 😉.

The start of something new…

First time to get the paint brushes out this year. This was an old experimental blow out acrylic pour with a colour scheme I had not used before. Once it had dried I knew what I wanted to put on it.

It’s been a lovely restful, creative afternoon so far!
We all have creativity in us because we are created in God’s image and he is the ultimate creator artist. When we create we reflect an fraction of God’s character in us. How amazing is that!!

Started the next commission project …can you guess what it is? One of my favourite things to paint 😊

Last watercolour of the holiday before packing up to come home tomorrow.

Didn’t get to see these in real life but there was so many other pockets of inspiration in shops as well as art in the holiday cottage that has drawn me to these chaps.

Very quick watercolour and very basic but fun all the same. Have enjoyed the simplicity of getting watercolours and paint brushes out and experimenting with them again.

Trying something a little different.

On holiday in Cornwall, inspired by the seaside, the art galleries in every town, and a coaster believe it or not at the home we are staying at, dabbling with my watercolours this time. 😊

“Living waters”

There is so much of the ocean that is still unexplored and undiscovered but we know full well it is teaming with life!

Jesus describes himself as living water! Do you want to drink stagnant water or living water that will satisfy your soul?

Read words of Jesus himself after an amazing conversation with a woman who was seeking momentary satisfaction in all the wrong things.

“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14
