We are open once again and ready to serve you a refreshing drink!

You may have seen that we are hosting our first pop street food in the car park on the 13th September. The Burger Society are renowned for their juicy burgers and we are very happy they've decided to come to The Dukes!

They will be serving their delicious menu from 5.30 until 9pm, so grab a bite to eat and pop in the bar for a drink too.

If you want to suggest a street food you'd like us to introduce to the car park then let us know below.

We've got lots more exciting things to bring you all in the coming months.

It's finally the weekend and there's lots going on in the town centre as usual. So why not join us for a pint or a drink of your choice whatever your plans for the day?

We are currently looking for a cook, self employed, rent and percentage is negotiable. Sadly we have been let down by our cook but not to worry! So if you want to rent our kitchen then get in touch!

As a result of our kitchen being closed, we are allowing you to bring food in or order a take away to the bar until we find a great new cook.

Our beer garden is a relaxing spot to sit and sip something cool and refreshing. Choose a bench or our relaxed seating area.

Today is our son's 16th birthday so feel free to wish him a great day if you see him!

That reminds us, if you want to host a special occasion in the back bar of the Dukes, get in touch!

It's another lovely sunny day and we are enjoying watching the kids festival rides being set up in Elms Field. Remember you can park for free in our car park as customers only! And if you've had enough of the noise, come and seek sanctuary in the bar.

Pool table and darts are available as always, as is our Hobgoblin guest ale which seems to be going down very well. We also have the ever popular Brakspear Gravity.

We can finally announce some great events we have coming up

Our singles night will take place on 11th September from 7.30pm, no tickets, no faff, just a relaxed way to enjoy a drink and potentially meet someone!

On the 18th September we have our first Quiz Night, grab a team of up to six, £5 a table and a boobie prize for the losing team!

On the 11th October we have Code Red playing live in the bar, a gig not to be missed. We can't wait to hear this incredibly talented band play again so put that in your diaries!

And finally, get your costumes ready and let's get spooky as we hold our first annual Halloween Party on the 1st November!

Well this weather isn't a great start to a bank holiday is it?

Fear not though, if you are venturing out it's lovely and dry in the bar and we are opening at midday ready with something to cheer you up.

We now have Sauvignon Blanc as well as Magners and Baby Prosecco, along with our especially tasty Brakspear Gravity. If there's something you'd like us to consider ordering in, let us know!

So if you aren't off to Cantley and you've barely heard of anyone at Reading Fest, then come in for pool, darts and a warm welcome! We are just at the bottom of Denmark Street, with free on site parking for our customers.

Last night we hosted Art Club and were treated to some top talent! We are pleased to confirm that Wokingham Life-Drawing Society will be back fortnightly on Thursdays.

We also offer the opportunity to use the back bar for parties, meetings and gatherings, whether for craft, families, Parent groups or anything you'd like to suggest. The Dukes is your community local so pop in and see Claire to find out how we can help

Good luck to everyone opening their GCSE results this morning, you've all worked so hard so whatever the outcome you're moving on to bigger things!

A special well done to our son Eddie,who has done very well and we couldn't be more proud of you.

We've said we wanted to bring you a range of events at The Dukes and first up is the return of Thursday Art Club. Taking part in the back bar, come along from 7pm for an evening of self expression and vibrant colour. All abilities welcome.

Well what can we say? What a Friday night we had last night and we hope those of you who joined us had as much fun here as we had serving you all. So many new smiley faces!

We've cleaned and mopped and are ready for midday once again in the bar on what looks to be another beautiful summer day in Wokingham town centre so come along and join us later.

Please note though, we are having a few teething issues which will be resolved asap, these things happen when you've ripped everything out and started again! But we still have plenty available regardless to satisfy your drinking wishes.

Well after a hot few days it seems like it's back to business as usual with some quite welcome (for gardening enthusiasts) rain

But come rain or shine we are open from midday and work is nearly complete on the kitchen, meaning Leo will be able to prep and get ready to offer you some much needed sustenance when you're enjoying a tipple.

Work is continuing on the kitchen ready for our cook to get started for you all.
