This week Andys Man Club Wrexham saw 31 men attend our session, with 4 of this being new faces.

The wind and rain raged outside and inside whilst we battled our storms. Armed with a brew and a biscuit we talked and listened to life's trials, with good times and bad times we left feeling refreshed, reset and ready to tackle the week ahead.

This coming Monday is a bank holiday, this means there is no regular Andy's Man Club session. However, please watch out for details of a walk n talk in bellevue park on Monday, in the coming days.

If you know a guy who might benefit from attending Andys Man Club, tell him about us and what we do, it might be the best thing you can do. Our groups are safe, free of judgement and confidential, and at our groups !

Take care Wrexham, stay sunny 👌

We are pleased to introduce our Integrated Three-Year Plan for the period 2024 to 2027. Our ambition as a Health Board is to move forward the transformation and improvement of high quality and sustainable NHS services for the people of North Wales.

During 2023-24 we continued to progress through our objectives against the Special Measures framework. At the beginning of 2024 our focus was on five key objectives where improvement was most necessary and we continue to prioritise improvements in these areas:

➡️Building an effective organisation
➡️Developing strategy and long lasting change
➡️Creating compassionate culture leadership and engagement
➡️Improving quality, outcomes and experience
➡️Establishing an effective environment for learning

The Three Year Plan, 2024-27 document in full, including information on the future of health services in North Wales is available on our website: https://bcuhb.nhs.wales/about-us/three-year-plan-2024-27/

Today Junior Doctors are offered a 22% pay rise over 2 years …. agenda for change staff likely 5.5% . Proof that the threat of strike is worrying this government ……. Last year not enough people voted for us to get a mandate for strike. What are your thoughts? A backpay lump sum isn’t as attractive as it first appears when the deductions have been taken out and the paltry amount you are left with takes you over the earnings limit for universal credit …… this time we need people to vote or we will never get away from this issue of not being paid what we are worth. Do you think YOU are worth more than 5.5 percent?

Do you get regular manicures? 💅

Since becoming menopausal you may have noticed that your nails have become thinner or softer, meaning they can split, crack or break more easily.

Your nails are made of a protein called keratin, which helps keep them strong. Oestrogen helps to produce keratin, so when levels are lower, your nails may be more susceptible to breaking.

You can search for more menopause symptoms and treatments in our menopause library here: https://www.balance-menopause.com/menopause-library/

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Unite the union members at Oscar Mayer (Formerly known as Rowan Foods) in Wrexham are being balloted for industrial action over a wide range of issues, including...

- The company decision to revise contracts via a fire and rehire arrangement or to accept inferior terms and conditions.
- Failure to consult meaningfully over contract changes
