I so love being mindful when going for a walk 😌📷... I think that it really takes me closer to the perspective of a young child, which I always find inspiring...

I believe that being able to be child-like can be a super power, which lets you:

😊 observe and challenge yourself to see things for the first time EVERY time, and often find joy in the simple things this way
😌be free for a moment
🧐get inspired with what you see, hear, touch...

City centre of York 🌼🌷in springtime makes such an inspiring backdrop for tourists and local families alike!

This DAD’s behaviour completely made my day… 🍃

This lovely family was watching the frog spawn appearing in the lovely pond at West Bank Park (…) And sadly, there was some litter floating in the pond… 😠 The dad could not bear looking at it. As soon as the session finished, he reached and removed pieces of rubbish with a branch that he found nearby. What a wonderful example for the next generations! It made my day, completely! Happy 🐸! 👏

How amazing it is that Mother Nature inspires us to try something different from time to time... 💚

The expecting time gets us so close with nature and what is more natural than bringing new life into the world? Our bodies are so beautifully designed to bear children and being around nature during this time is a blessing for everyone involved...

My word for this special month is… a MOTHER. And my focus is on supporting other mums, as I know very well that being a parent is not easy (it can be very challenging to say the least)…

I think that especially modern mothers deserve a medal EACH! You, too!🏅Because we take on so many responsibilities and very often forget about our own needs… The need to rest, have “me” time without any guilt or regret but ALSO to be on pictures with our own children, and so often this is not the case! 🤔

So, what is a lifestyle session? 📷

It’s kind of a session that focuses on documenting family time without putting (too) much emphasis on posing. Ultimately, my goal is to capture candid moments, like the time of playful family interactions and often pictures like this come out brilliantly!

However, I also ask you to look at the camera every now and again. This is because I believe that such pictures look really well together and give you a wide variety of choice… Instead of having similar photos to choose from only, I want you to have a variety that stands out from the session - this includes: different scenery, changing lighting, many angles and different ways that you interact as a family… Your family is unique! And I believe that unposed happiness, love & mischief, captured in your favourite location IS the bare minimum that every family should get from a session!

One of my favourite things is... being mindful and meeting likeminded eco-conscious families! I’m endlessly passionate about translating their unique stories into (mostly) lifestyle portraits in their favourite outdoorsy spots!

Why do I take families out in the great outdoors?

Well, there are people, like me who like to go OFF THE BEATEN TRACK - they feel alive when spending time in nature, on swings, in gardens, parks, woods - you name it! The set-ups change, the backgrounds are non-plastic, the fresh air gives everyone a boost, the light changes as you and your family RELAX and enjoy being together!

I find that these are the best portraits (that I don’t have myself from the time of growing up)😕!

So, my mission is to deliver them to others... So, they can be celebrated for many years to come... :-)
