Chateau de Montmal Fitou Languedoc-Roussillon, France, 2018
Aged in new French oak for 12 months in order to add weight and dimension, the 2018 Château de Montmal Fitou is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Carignan, and 20% Syrah that is full-bodied, complex, and mouth-wateringly delicious. It has heady aromatics of brambly black raspberry and cassis that follow though on the palate. Accents of cocoa, to***co, sagebrush, and baking spice add layers of complexity, and balancing acidity brings the wine to a long finish.

The best part of the job is definitely tasting the new wines. This quirky alternative to Prosecco arrived last week.
This Prosecco-style wine is a fresh, dry thirst quencher. Lightly sparkling and perfect on its own or in a cocktail/spritz, it appears gold with a touch of bronze. With Nashi pears and apples on the nose, the palate is bright with fine acid and floral characters – a really approachable wine. The perfect wine to drink from a crazy-straw!
