Our York College BTEC L3 Travel and Tourism students have been undertaking their role play assessments in Customer Service and Airport Operations this week and we've been so impressed by their professionalism and customer service skills. We're all ready for departure here! ✈️👩‍✈️

Next member of our Travel and Tourism alumni is Nigel. From the moment we met Nigel at a York College Open Event, Nigel was clear that his motivation for undertaking the course was to pursue a career in the rail industry. Nigel's passion for a career on the railway never faltered during his three years of College and he successfully completed his qualifications achieving a Distinction overall.
After completing his qualifications, Nigel secured an apprenticeship with LNER which he successfully completed and is now working on board the LNER services as a customer experience host. An incredible achievement and proof that studying Travel and Tourism at York College can help you to achieve your dreams!🚆

"Since studying T&T at York college I have continued to work within the hospitality sector. I’m into my 6th year of hotels and I am currently working for a management company travelling across the UK opening and managing new individually owned properties, increasing revenues, maximising staffing levels, carrying out training, and most importantly delivering the best customer service possible to our guests. I have recently just opened hotels in Devon, Watford, Milton Keynes and Northallerton."
