A big thank you to former Premier League and FIFA international referee Matt Messias, of Matt Messias Impact Leadership Ltd, for delivering an inspirational speech to all College staff ahead of the start to the new academic year tomorrow.
Matt, who has also worked as a school principal and college deputy principal, delivered talks to smaller groups afterwards, too.
Huge congratulations to our Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development student Chevelle Clarke who has been called up to Rugby League Jamaica's national squad.
Chevelle, who also plays for York RLFC Valkyrie where she is sponsored by York College, will travel to the University of North Florida in November for the Reggae Warriors' World Cup qualifiers against Canada and USA.
We can't wait to open our doors tomorrow to welcome all of our new and existing students onto campus!

Congratulations to our REACH Award winner Mohammad Omar for passing his Bricklaying course.
Mohammad fled Sudan at the age of 13 in fear of his life and will continue with his Construction studies in September, having also secured a work placement at The Cocoa Works with Lovell Homes and the support of Henry Boot.

We are now enrolling for September 2024.
Every year at York College & University Centre, we welcome a large and diverse cohort of adult learners who study on a wide range of courses, covering various subjects at different levels, from short courses to university-level study.
What's more, achieving a qualification with us as an adult could be much more affordable than you think and you may be eligible for a partially or fully funded course based on income, age and previous qualifications attained.

We would also like to congratulate students from the city and surrounding area on their success and look forward to welcoming many of you on Campus in September.
