We have a unique job opportunity in our Machine Assembly Department assembling new machines including gritters, snowploughs and turf maintenance machinery. As you will see from the picture we have a very clean and tidy working environment. Formal qualifications aren’t required full instructions and guidance will be given.

You must have previous experience of using hand tools, this may be working in a farm workshop, agricultural engineer, mechanic or coach builder or just enjoy tinkering in a workshop.

Agricultural Engineer / Mechanic Position Available

We currently have a position available in our service department based at Rufforth near York working on Vale's hire machines as well as customers machines including quadbikes, compact tractors and trailed gritters.

We have some modern, clean and well kept workshops, and promote a family atmosphere within the workplace. The rate of pay is negotiable and will be very competitive for the right candidate.

☀️Nice start to the day in the Vale of York ☀️

Well today was the culmination of months of work designing and manufacturing a one off sprayer for York Racecourse. When we got asked to design a special GPS controlled machine with individual nozzle isolation it couldn’t be resisted. Not only is York our local course, it’s also the best! As well as this some of you may know many at Vale are racing fans. The initial meeting was over a year ago, the design work was completed by James, Garry has meticulously assembled the sprayer and programmed the controller and not forgetting Joe who welded the sprayer and various sub assemblies in the fabrication department. A real team effort. Thank you Adrian, Kev and all at York Racecourse for the business and the challenge.

It can’t be that time of year already! A repeat order for an existing customer leaves the yard in preparation for Winter 2023.
