Winemaker's comment:
This wine is made with 100% Merlot grapes from the Mystic Winery vineyard. Bright ruby red with intense red and black fruit notes of cherry, plum and blackberry, combined with complex aromas of chocolate, to***co, and spicey oak notes. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied, fleshy, with fine grained tannins and fresh acidity offering support to the elegant structure and length. Excellent drinking now but careful cellaring will lead to increased suppleness and complexity.

Roast meat, fried steak, crispy fillet, baked or smoked sausage, hard cheese, etc.

【 #正言焦點】香港美酒佳餚巡禮首設中國葡萄酒區 山東開酒莊港商：讓中國美酒為世界葡萄酒業湊上最後一塊拼圖

香港是國際大都會，市民和旅客可品嚐各式各樣的美酒。由香港旅遊發展局舉辦的「香港美酒佳餚巡禮」將於10月26至29日在中環海濱活動空間舉行，今年首次設立中國葡萄酒區，展示近百款中國葡萄酒。活動邀請到10個分別來自山東、寧夏、雲南和新疆4個產區的主要中國葡萄酒酒莊參加。

仙島酒莊董事兼行政總裁龔張立慧（Rita Kung）表示，她與丈夫在2008年到山東省蓬萊市，被當地鄉村景緻打動，喜歡當地農民的純樸，而且當地政府看見蓬萊風土的潛力，提供投資建設葡萄酒莊的機會，他們決定放手去發展，最終在蓬萊丘山山谷成立酒莊。

Rita表示，當時從零開始打造葡萄園，聘請了當地農民，還有來自紐西蘭與加拿大的葡萄栽培專家和釀酒師等，由他們協助選擇土地、種植葡萄，經十多年悉心經營，至今推出了「逸湖霞多麗干白葡萄酒」、「逸湖桃紅葡萄酒」、「逸湖干紅葡萄酒」等多種葡萄酒。

Rita表示，丘山山谷的氣候和土壤等自然條件，非常適合種植葡萄，開發葡萄酒特區能為當地農民提供穩定工作，也能替年輕人創造工作機會。現時酒莊的客戶群主要來自香港、内地、新加坡和澳門，每年年產量約3萬支。Rita更希望透過「香港美酒佳餚巡禮」走出去，讓中國美酒為世界葡萄酒業湊上最後一塊拼圖。
