【Closure of Coyote Wan Chai】

For over 20 years Coyote Wan Chai has proudly offered a true ‘taste of Mexico’ in the heart of Wan Chai and it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of the restaurant on Thur 11th Nov. After two years of business challenges that have affected Wan Chai, we are sadly leaving the strip, but are already looking for a new home in HK for the restaurant that has been a Hong Kong institution since 1999.

We have developed many friendships and loyal customers over the years, and we hope that you will continue to dine at Coyote in our beautiful restaurant in Discovery Bay.

We would like to say thank you to all our customers, our fabulous staff, and to the very seductive “SUZY WONG” for so many wonderful years in Wan Chai.

But there is always time for one more shot in the notorious barber chair and to throw a few extra dollars across the bar for one last Margarita.

So join us on Thurs 11th Nov at 6pm for one last party as we say Adios to Wan Chai.

Today we said a sad farewell to the Coyote Bar & Grill neon sign that has been a feature of the Wanchai landscape for over twenty years. A casualty of Typhoon Lionrock, the Coyote sign was badly damaged by the adjacent tree during the storm, and with Typhoon Kompasu just hours away we had to act quickly to remove the sign and make the area safe.
Can you imagine the sights that sign has seen! The revelry of twenty HK Rugby Sevens, hundreds of US Navy sailors trying to drink our Fishbowl Margaritas, thousands of stag and hen night shenanigans, and birthday parties and work celebrations beyond counting!
So when you are next at Coyote Wanchai, raise your glass to the poor, departed Coyote sign, a Hong Kong landmark for so many years, and a little piece of history now gone forever.
