Ma*****na is a very dangerous drug, and nowadays, many youngsters are using it without knowing the side effects of it. It's important to know the negative effects of it, which can ruin the life of a person. We need to help each other by spreading awareness of it and helping youngsters to stop falling into the trap of drugs.

To raise awareness for drug abuse, We all need to be together and help each other. Educating people about the dangers of drugs, as well as promoting healthy ways to cope with stress and problems, It can help reduce the risk of addiction. Programs in schools, involving parents, and having community support networks are effective ways to prevent substance abuse.

Project Empathy would like to invite Families from the Ethnically Diverse Group to our Family program. We hope to provide a platform to help families nurture quality time in-between our busy lives😊
Families are welcome to join us to barbeque and participate in different activities. Variety of Food will be available including halal meat. Participants are welcome to bring their own food 🧺♨️🥓

Today is International Day against Drug Abuse, This is to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse. We need to fight together against drugs so that the world can be Free from drugs and everyone can be Drug -Free.

In collaboration with Yu Chun Keung Memorial College no.2, Project Empathy was involved in developing cultural sensitivity and awareness within the secondary level students.

We were able to hold two booths in the school where students were able to gain information on the culture of different ethnically diverse group living in Hong Kong.

Drugs have ruined a lot of people life, people who have taken drugs have regretted and want to quit it, It's never too late to quit drugs and be drug free. You just need to make a decision to quit drugs and trust yourself that you can do it. Remember that Don't Give Up and We are with you!

It may be stressful to reject friends for fear of being cast out of the clique, but there are situations in life where you need to make a stand. This is especially true when you are being offered drugs. Saying ‘no’ is tough, but don't worry here are some ways to cross the hurdle:

-Be direct and firm when saying “No” to the offer

-Repeat yourself and insist on your decision

-Walk away if you are being offered drugs despite rejecting it several times

-Remind the other party about the harmful effects of illegal drugs and substance abuse to reject the offer

-Avoid places where you know drugs will be available.

Most of us may experience peer pressure in one form or another, and it is an uncomfortable situation to be in. If we take a step back and relook at the situation, we will be able to distinguish good friends from the less desirable ones.

Recovery is not a race. You don’t have to feel guilty if it takes you longer than you thought it would. Never ever give up, It will take time to quit drugs but in the the end you will quit it.

Freedom is a very precious gift you have, Choose it wisely and stay away from drugs and help others as well to stay away from drugs by spreading awareness, love and show your care to each other as well.

In co-ordination with Man Kiu Primary School, we were able to host game booths for primary level students. The activities were focused on helping the children to learn essential knowledge regarding healthy habits, balanced diet and identifying different emotions 😊

Some Addiction can also cause problems with focus, memory, and learning, not to mention decision-making and judgement. Seeking drugs, therefore, is driven by habit and not conscious, rational decisions. Unfortunately, the belief that people with addictions are simply making bad choices pervades. Don't ever lose hope, If you are addicted to drugs, you can quit it, just one step forward will change your life.

Coca Plant, which is mainly grown in Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia, is a highly addictive drug that is processed in jungle laboratories where the coca is extracted from the leaves to produce co***ne.

Co***ne has long been known for its quick numbing abilities. For this reason many early medicines, such as toothache drops, nausea pills, and pills to ease sinus pain, emphasized its pain relief qualities. The drug still has limited use in medicine today as a local anesthetic. It is occasionally used in medical procedures as a topical anesthetic for skin lacerations, nose or throat surgeries, and dental procedures. Until the early 1900s, co***ne was commonly used in Western medicine as an anesthetic because of its numbing ability. However, in the 1970s co***ne reemerged as an expensive, high status misused drug.

Although, It is used in medical but unfortunately, some people use it illegally and ruined their life. It is to cure people not destroy.

M**A (ecstasy) is a popular club drug in the rave and electronic dance music scenes and in nightclubs. It is known under many nicknames, including "e" and "Molly". M**A is often considered the drug of choice within the rave culture and is also used at clubs, festivals, house parties and free parties. In the rave environment, the sensory effects from the music and lighting are often highly synergistic with the drug. The psychedelic quality of M**A and its amphetamine-like energizing effect offers multiple reasons for its appeal to users in the rave setting. Some users enjoy the feeling of mass communion from the inhibition-reducing effects of the drug, while others use it as "party fuel" for all-night dancing.

Although, the enjoyment is very fun but it can be a addiction afterwards, Party's are to meet people, know each other, have food but not taking drugs too get high or to be cool. Prevent this kind of parties which includes drugs. A safe party is the best party.

-Changes in sleep or eating patterns
-Agitated or edgy mood
-Continual runny nose
-Going through times of extreme depression
-Frequent upper respiratory infections
-Loss of interest in things usually enjoyed
-Experiencing visual or auditory hallucinations
-Going through large amounts of money or having large amounts of cash without explanation
-Lack of care for personal hygiene
-Weight loss

If you recognize these signs in yourself or someone you love, reach out for help immediately. With the proper treatment, you can begin the journey to healing and vacate from a life ruled by co***ne use.
Although the first step may be difficult, with effective, evidence-based treatment you can overcome a co***ne addiction and live a healthier life. Say No To Drugs!

What is Drug Abuse?

Drug abuse or substance abuse refers to the use of certain chemicals for the purpose of creating pleasurable effects on the brain. There are over 190 million drug users around the world and the problem has been increasing at alarming rates, especially among young adults under the age of 30. Apart from the long term damage to the body drug abuse causes, drug addicts who use needles are also at risk of contracting HIV and hepatitis B and C infections.

It is important to understand that what is drug abuse and what are the consequences of using it, Life is very precious do not waste in drugs.
