Donegal Domestic Violence Services provides 24 hr crisis Support and information for women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse.

Donegal Domestic Violence Services supports women and children living in Donegal who have experienced / are experiencing Domestic Violence as they journey from recovery to self-reliance and independent living. You can phone the 24 hour helpline 1800 262677 or message / Whats App 087 3812438 and talk with a trained worker who understands that you need to make choices at your own pace, and who will support and encourage you to do this.

15 of our ladies enjoyed a fantastic workshop, delivered by the fabulous Mirenda Rosenburg, where we discussed how to protect our peace, identifying our personal rights and learning how to set and maintain our boundaries. While the ladies engaged in their workshop, the children enjoyed some sensory play time with Let's Mess Donegal! Great way to spend the morning!

Donegal FRCs are delighted to be leading out on this Family Fun Festival which takes place in Glenveagh national park on Sunday 8th September.

This event, which has been organised and funded under the HSE Connecting For Life banner and organised in conjunction with Glenveagh National Park, with wide support from our interagency partners, Donegal Springboard Family Support Service, DLDC, Donegal Intercultural Platform, Health Ireland Healthy Ireland It has been a long time in the planning, but I think we are finally getting there.

The event is essentially, an information and wellness day, for individuals and families to coincide with World Su***de Prevention Day which takes place on the 10th of September and with Green Ribbon Month which runs throughout September.

On the day we will have a range of: Information stands highlighting services and supports available throughout Donegal; WEB of life workshop facilitated by Joanne Lindsay Butler; 2 introductory talks on WELLBEING in NATURE with Aisling Redmond - Letting Nature Lead; 4 km Green Ribbon Walk to the castle; Scavanger hunt;; Trail of thought enroute to the castle; Food tasters to support our Eating for mental Health information stand; Music from celloist Laura McFadden - Musician and a goal setting exercise with Bill Vaughan The Tree of Intention. PLEASE NOTE that The event is FREE and open to all. Please come along, show your support and become familiar with the supports available in your county to support mental health and wellbeing.
