We're very excited to be heading over to the Dublin Dance Festival presentation of Trisha Brown. A must see. Check out this video http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5noh3_79set-and-reset_creation
Trisha Brown Dance Company – Irish debut
For three nights only, audiences will have the unprecedented opportunity to see Trisha Brown’s iconic work on the Abbey stage. A legend of American modern dance, Brown’s relentless curiosity has pushed the boundaries of choreography. Her signature piece, Set and Reset has influenced generations of dancers and choreographers. Dancers slip fluidly around each other in a rippling swell of motion, while Laurie Anderson’s driving score and Robert Rauschenberg’s designs complete this modern masterpiece.
This evening of repertory also includes the short, witty ‘Early Works’ Accumulation and Spanish Dance, and the mysterious and emotive For M.G: The Movie. The recently created Les Yeux et l’âme, a suite of dances from Rameau’s opera Pygmalion, will complete this celebratory programme.
A giant of contemporary dance, and a highly regarded visual artist in her own right, don’t miss this unique chance see Trisha Brown’s work in Dublin!

artinfo.com “The biennale is merely one arrow in any would-be global city’s quiver — or, as often, in one that aspires to that status — drawing in a particular class of tourist (some of them extremely wealthy) and hopefully entertaining those residents who have the power to leave.” That’s British critic Julian ...
