We always say Profhilo is to your face regime, like diamonds 💎 are to your wardrobe (and filler is the sculpting & lifting underwear, Botox is the high heels and lasers the smart basics). It’s an expensive finishing touch that many can’t go without. But we've always maintained that it gave better results on the body than the face, so we’re delighted have launched a body version, which we road tested yesterday in D4. It’s the same formula as the famous face version but in bigger does syringes to target larger areas - like chest, arms, tummies, bums - or anywhere the skin lacks volume, bounce and elasticity. It’s injected into lots of micro sites below the dermis, and spreads out like honey, plumping the skin from the inside out. Over the course of a few weeks, it works to stimulate collagen and elastin production, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. Unlike toxins which freeze muscles, or filler that changes the size and shape of contours, Profhilo simply improves hydration levels, texture, tightness and overall radiance. The results we’ve seen from Profhilo Body seem much more dramatic than the face treatment - akin to body surgery in some cases - but this is possibly because we all tend to do a lot more to the skin on our faces, than bodies, so the results are more evident on the tummy, say than on a face that’s had years of Botox and good skincare too. It’s expensive 💰 to treat a singular body area.. anywhere from E600- E1000, depending on the clinic and experience of the injector (which as always is KEY!!) but if you have pockets of laxity and crepey skin on your body that bug you it might well be worth the splurge. Check out your local Profhilo supplier or DM for your nearest Irish clinic

A 2 min round up of what we learnt from our (1-hour live)Tightening Tweakments talk at in March, with our brilliant panelists Dr Dallas from [email protected] & Dr Sami from . Radio Frequency (RF) treatments are the hottest thing in aesthetics right now , so we discussed if they are firstly, safe; secondly how do they actually work; on what body parts will the have the best results; how painful are they and if we do them, can we avoid a facelift for another few decades🙄 ?
treated a patient live on stage with Morpheus8, the celeb fave RF treatment that also harnesses the powers of micro needling to ensure the energy is delivered really deep down into the skin- causing a huge collagen stimulation and skin resurfacing too. Essentially it causes the skin to almost shrink wrap, the surface becomes much tauter and more refined and the contours around the treated zone ( like yes, neck) are lifted and look much more youthful. Our doctors all concurred in the right candidates the results are incredible - but in the wrong candidate the results will be barely noticeable 😒 , so you need to ensure your doctor/practitioner will guide you correctly! The patient on stage was numbed and seemed to barely flinch during the tweakment and was red and puffy straight afterwards. This type of RF and micro needling treatment is spenny !! And can cost circa 2-4k depending on where you have treated but results will last years and for those who don’t want to be going under the knife or who need more help than what toxins and fillers can do.. or as a complimentary procedure to them, this is a great option. But not all RF technologies are the same!! Some will in fact do more harm than good to your skin, so if you need a steer on where to go, or what machines to look out for, drop us a DM.
We're all for new beauty fixes but snorting your way to a bronzer bod has us polarised 😎 🧐 . On one hand it sounds brilliant - a few sniffs of these inexpensive sprays (circa E25 online) a day for a few weeks and the ingredients encourage your skin to naturally turn a deep shade of bronze. Thus it saves the hassle of fake tan, or the dangers or sun-beds or prolonged sun exposure, and the tan lasts for months apparently and is very even and deep. BUT of course there's a catch! Firstly the ingredients are not licensed for use in this way, and there's no science demonstrating safety behind them. Plus there's all sorts of side effects (although we'd be happy with the loss of appetite for a few days!) and then there's a risk of overstimulating melanocytes, which could cause miss-coloured or dark-patches and blotches on the skin and theoretically could even trigger cancerous cells. What do you think - would you take the risk for golden glow? Let us know!! beachbodytransformation
Two Irish 🇮🇪 women have formulated a simplified new line of supplements for Menopause & Peri symptoms 🤸♂️🤸🏽♂️Donna & Renee wanted to solve their own hormonal problems and in turn ended up creating a succinct range of both nutritional and herbal supplements in one to help minimise the ONSLAUGHT of physical and mental symptoms that comes with getting through each month!! They also provide much more bespoke support and information on their website and have collagen drinks and period balancing supplements too. They have been prolific in the science 🧬 & beauty worlds for many years individually so it’s great to see them join forces and double their superpowers 🦸🏼♀️ 🦸. We are starting the monthly box today so will keep you updated on how we get on .. ( the night sweats are no fun 😩😩😩 ) . Follow them over at .
Here, here! Irish ☘️ Gov please follow suite 🙏🏼 . But we firmly believe nurses should be allowed a prescribing license for filler here too. As it stands ANYONE with a business in Ireland/UK can buy filler online or from distributors and after very short training course .. often done online.. can start injecting it into faces & bodies. And we’ve all seen the horror stories of .. bits of faces actually falling off ( tissue necrosis) to terrifying instances of blindness from botched filler injections 😩😩. Which is why doctors/ nurses/dentists spend YEARS often decades studying anatomy and the cardiovascular systems so that when they do injections they understand the minefields that lay beneath the skin. Not saying medics don’t have mishaps with fillers too but the odds are much lower & they also should have hyuralonaise (filler dissolving prescription fluid) to hand. The only way it’s going stop is with government backed regulation. Let us know if you agree ?
Fibroblasting is hot 🔥 in aesthetics right now but don't go burning your dermis just yet! Because in the wrong hands 🤠 it can do more harm than good to your skin. This treatment works by transferring thermal energy and plasma gas into the skin's lower demal layers by creating micro-traumas (which in turn form those tiny red scabs). Over the next 12 weeks, the skin goes through a healing process that produces collagen and elastin, which plump the skin and minimizes lines and wrinkles. In theory it works great on tightening and smooting out crepey and sagging areas like eyelids and around the eye area, as well as around the mouth and on the neck BUT the difference in the standard of devices used to administer the treatment is akin to a 30 year old FIAT and a brand new Tesla! Ditto the level of training - some high end devices require weeks of training while others have zero (any aesthetician can buy one online and start zapping!). So as always, don't sign up to special offers and cheap deals - your face is not worth the gamble. Ensure the clinic has a solid reputation, ideally has medically trained staff and the device in question is licensed and comes from a reputable manufacturer. We've added model before and afters of this treatment on here, who said the treatment results were amazing but that the procedure was more painful than CHILDBRITH!! Ther's more infoof her plasma fibroblasting journey on her if you want a gander. As always, if you have any Q's on this hit us up or DM us xx😘
If you feel your filler is not working as well as it once did - you're not alone 🙋♀️. 'Filler Fatigue' is a widely reported phenomenon but it's not that the filler isn't working as it once did, it's more a case of expectations running too high and then it becomes very easy to run the risk of overfilling the face and creating a overly puffy, distorted look. A good practitioner, should tell you when enough is enough, but unfortunately many only see $$$ and how hefty your bill will be, so will just keep adding more to your face. Rather than rely solely on filler to help rejuvenate the face, it's better to approach it with multiple modalities -think: lasers, peels, radiofrequency, toxins and mico-needling for a more comprehensive result. Surgical procedures, like a neck and vertical facelift with fat grafting or blepharoplasty (eye lift) may be the better choice to create a youthful look that you wont have to keep chasing with filler every few months to maintain. Hope this helps 😘

So much talk about skinny injections & ‘Wegovy’ thus week! 💉Are they the silver bullet we have been waiting for or another weight loss gimmick 🤷♀️ !!? It’s a topic we discussed at length on the MainStage this month. So hopefully this helps simplify the situation. Semaglutide 2.4mg aka known has just been approved by the European Medicines Agency for the treatment of adults with obesity & associated health concerns. The drug has been shown to be safe & well tolerated (minus side effects see slides ) and studies report average body weight reduction of 15-18%. Most patients also had an improvement in blood pressure, lower risk of heart attack and an 80% reduction in the development of diabetes 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Saxenda or Ozempic are similar semigluatide injections or that also work on the same principle ( in different doses to Wegovy) by targeting the subconscious areas of our brain that control our hunger, fullness and the reward/reaction from food. Irish clings that are currently offering one or more of these medications as part of their medically supervised weight management programs include .ie

Surgeon Siún on why we can blame our Celtic genes for making us all look knackered and why tear trough fillers are the last treatment she uses for treating tired eyes, dark circles and general ageing around the eye area. Thanks, for the eye-opening (get it )intel!
There's a simple clinical tweakment to lift the outer corners of the mouth - but be WARNED - the side effects circa 5-8 days after the treatment, as Liz & Nikki from FutureBeauty have discovered, rather comically over Christmas dinner two years ago, can be rather embarrassing.
Nikki from FutureBeauty talks to leading Irish Consultant Plastic Surgeon, and general all-round Wonder Woman, Dr Siún Murphy - Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon, from the Blackrock Clinic about the new techniques surgeons are adapting to minimise downtime and scarring from producers such as breast reductions.

Meanwhile here are 5 steps to consider:
✅ STEP 1 - Update your safety & risk assessment statements 🗓️
✅ STEP 2 - Make a COVID 19 Plan: 📅 Rethink your booking system to have clients on the premises for the minimum amount of time - this might involve preliminary online consultations. 📤 Email clients your new COVID protocols and you might want to issue them forms for declarations of health.
✅ STEP 3: 😷Complete staff training with PPE and new clinic/premises hygiene measures.
✅ STEP 4: ↔️Reconfigure physical space to ensure the 2-meter distance (where needed) is achieved.
✅ STEP 5 Make sure you have a system in place if the need occurs to trace suspected outbreaks.
