Once you learn this easy trick, you'll be a rose expert.

All you need to do is give them a little squeeze! That's it.

When shopping for roses, give them a little squeeze to check if they're firm. If they're firm in the center, that means they're fresh and will last longer. If they're soft or thin looking, they're on their way out.

We check our roses before making every bouquet, so we'll do that part for you, but if you're ever in a pinch at the shops, try this out and you'll have fresh roses for longer!

Have you heard of miniature orchids?

Mini orchids are a tiny variation of regular orchids, and yes they are real! They come in a wide variety of colours from white and pink to green and yellow.

Care Tips:
🌸 Keep them out of direct sunlight but in a bright room
🌸 They only need a small cupful of water every few weeks
🌸 Treat them like you would a regular orchid

The best thing about orchids is that they will continue to bloom on and off throughout the year as long as you take care of them.

How far in advance should you book your wedding flowers? 💍

Here's what we recommend 👇

Once you know your date, let your florist know as soon as possible so they can get you on the books. Florists don't always accept more than one wedding on a particular date, so it's usually first come first served.

But don't stress about needing to know what you want! You'll have plenty of time to sort out colours and flowers. In general, florists only need 6 weeks notice to be able to customize your order and source all the flowers for your wedding.

If, however, you're hoping to get flowers last-minute, we can still help! We will always do our best to fit in last-minute bridal bouquet requests so you should never hesitate to call (even if it's the same week!).
