A community workshop takes place in Foynes tomorrow for the new‘Wonder Wander Walks’ initiative which will see the development of community-led walking trails, including map, focusing on Architectural Conservation Areas in Foynes. All are welcome

Our monthly look at what library members are reading and listening to on BorrowBox 🧐

Colm Tóibín’s extraordinary literary epic, Long Island had borrowers immediately enthralled at number one in both formats, whilst more incredible Irish storytellers also thrived with Mircea Cǎrtǎrescu’s Solenoid in second for e-Audiobooks, and Paul Murray’s glorious The Bee Sting taking the same spot in e-Books.

For kids, the intergalactic mayhem of David Walliams’ Astrochimp shot to the top e-Book spot, whilst Holly Jackson’s YA thriller, The Reappearance of Rachel Price had teen listeners engrossed. The ever-charming adventures of Peppa Pig also proved popular, with Peppa’s Holiday Cruise in fifth place for e-Books, whilst the boundless fun of the latest Bluey adventure, Baby Race, was hot on Peppa’s heels in sixth.

Ava called in to Foynes Library recently with her sister Emily and was delighted when librarian Catherine gave her a My Little Library book bag 📚
