Christmas Appeal for Order of Malta Ireland.

Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem, a maternity hospital that delivers babies for families. Earlier this year, the hospital welcomed its 100,000th baby, a remarkable feat.

This Hospital is the only hospital providing neonatal care within the region, and every single donation counts towards the life of a newborn.

This Christmas, Order of Malta Ireland are asking for donations, with the hopes of helping to deliver more new babies in 2024 and beyond. If you can, we would ask you to donate to our appeal, which is linked below.

It is with great sadness we inform you all of the death of our dear friend and colleague John Quinn.

John was our former Officer in Charge and Assistant Regional Director.

We mourn the loss of our colleague who had over 60 years association with the Limerick Unit and was always there to offer advice and support and attended many functions held by the unit.

We cherish the many fond memories we have of his time with us.

He wore his uniform with great pride and during his term as Mayor of Limerick wore the mayoral robe over his uniform at the many events he was at.

Our sympathies to Johns family and friends - you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

May he rest in peace.

Funeral arrangements as follows:

Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Thomas Street (V94 FT85) on Monday (10th July) from 5.30 to 7pm followed by removal to St. Lelia’s Church, Kileely Road (V94 X8W6).

Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday (11th July) at 11am followed by burial in Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery (Behind V94 D5D3).
