Thumbs up for Benny
This page is a tribute to our brother, son, and friend; Brendan 'Benny' McNamara. Brendan passed away on July 24th 2018. NO JUDGEMENT
This page is to remember Brendan, and raise awareness of mental health and su***de, in Limerick and beyond.
Thinking of you everyday and today, Ben/Brendiana Jones/Pat the Brendan on your 6th anniversary away from home, we love you, we miss you;
If words described our feelings,
The colour would be blue,
Tears fall from our eyes,
Each time we think of you,
Theres so much we should feel happy for,
So much we should be glad,
But when we think of all the things you’re missing out on,
We can’t help but feel so sad,
We know that your heart is peaceful wherever you may be,
If only we could see you just once more brother our souls would fill with glee,
If only we could turn back the clock,
We'd stop and ask you why,
Could you give life another chance
And not leave without goodbye;
The house is so quiet without you, your pals they miss you too,
There’s two lil boys here to learn about you, and two more smallies, the newest to the crew,
We promise that they’ll know all about you,
All the photos that we’ve kept,
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have left;
Strange to think that this time 6 years ago our lives were seemingly normal, and hadn't been turned upside down yet;
There are so many more little people here that would have loved to meet you, you would have influenced them greatly, good and bad no doubt;
Lots of love to you brother, we miss you.
Heard about the Community Gardens yesterday while I was at the Milk Market.
Fantastic idea.The lads running it are open to talking to any community or individuals who would like to know more about it.

Folks,
This bottle was left behind in South Liberties after the Thumbs up for Benny Memorial Cup Tournament.
Let me know please if it's yours and I'll get it back to you.
It was in the back of the van and I just spotted it. I know these things are expensive.
Thanks a lot.👍
Thumbs up for Benny👍
Folks,
Just a few words.
We haven't tallied up yet but it looks like The Thumbs up for Benny crew and charity is looking like, after five years and five months, may break the twenty thousand euro mark raised for charity.
For anyone that wants to donate, you can click on the link, from anywhere in the world and throw in a euro or two if you can.
If not, feel free to spread the word,
No Judgement.👍
End the stigma.👍
Keep the conversation going.💚
We will keep you, our friends, supporters, crew and sponsors updated.
Thank you for your generosity.
We know that every cent handed over helps our charities.
Most important of all, is that we help to end the stigma attached to mental health illness.
