We've had some extra cute patients in All Paws this week!!
Meet Pedro the tabby kitten and Chloe the black labrador pup π
Both of these little nuggets were in for their primary vaccinations and plenty of cuddles π©Ί
Vaccinating your puppies and kittens is crucial for their health and well-being!
It can protect them from deadly diseases like parvovirus and feline leukemia. Early vaccinations can save their lives and ensure they grow up happy and healthy πΎ
If you've recently added a new furry friend to your family and you're unsure of their vaccination records, call us on 061-275616 and a member of our team can advise you βΊοΈ

Meet Rocky π
This little cutie was in for his second puppy booster vaccination and he melted everyone in the clinic's hearts!
Rocky is a very friendly, well behaved boy and was busy making lots of friends in reception πΎ
He was a 5 star patient and was super brave getting his injection β€
Rocky received his super important puppy vaccination which will protect him from fatal doggy diseases such as parvo-virus and leptospirosis! These diseases can be easily prevented by making sure your pet is up to date with their vaccinations each year π
Just a reminder of the LMHA Family Fun Dog Show on Sunday at 11.30am in the Milk Market πΎ

Meet Socks π
Unfortunately you can't see Sock's cute little socks as he is too cosy in his donut bed π€£
This handsome boy was in to see Dr. Tim last week as unfortunately he was in an accident and broke his femur π₯Ί
Thankfully he was a very brave patient and Dr. Tim did a great job repairing his leg!
Our wonderful nurses gave him plenty of TLC while he was recovering and he went home where he is now on strict cage rest while his leg heals.
He is doing really well and his fabulous owners are taking great care of him β€

This lil cutie was in with Dr. Liz this week to get his Cytopoint injection!

We hope Buster has a lovely weekend at the beach and fits into his teeny weeny bikini π€£

πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Molly is our Pet of the Week π
Molly started her treatment for diabetes this week and was the best girl hanging out with us all day! π₯° As you can see below she got lots of lovely walks as one of the main symptoms of canine diabetes is increased thirst which causes increased urination. She also received many hugs but this is not a specific treatment for diabetes βΊοΈ
Other common symptoms we see in our dogs include weight loss and increased appetite. The treatment for canine diabetes involves giving them an injection of insulin twice a day under the skin. This can seem daunting at first for pet owners but we are always so impressed with how well they do! π
A very simple screening tool for possible diabetes is testing for glucose in their urine. This was detected by Molly's excellent referring vets in Deelside! β€
If you have any questions about canine diabetes our team is always happy to help. πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Otis π
This beautiful little boy is only 4 months old and as you can see he is an A1 patient chilling in reception before his visit with Dr Tim π
Otis has landed on his paws with his new family who absolutely adore him and we are so excited to watch him grow πΎ
Unfortunately this lovely weather brings high risk of heat stroke for our four legged friends so please take extra precautions in keeping them cool and happy β
Make sure to walk them early morning or late in the evening when the temperatures are lower, do not leave them in the car for any period of time and look out for signs of heat stroke such as panting, excessive drooling, diarrhoea and vomiting.
Before walking, place the palm of your hand on the path. If you can't comfortably keep your hand there for 7 seconds it is too hot for your pets paws. βΌ
We can all enjoy this beautiful weather while being mindful of our little paw pals πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ

She was in this week modelling her new jacket, collecting her special Renal food and she also very kindly dropped us in some treats!!
She is the happiest little girl and it is so lovely to see her thriving in her furever home πΎ
Just a reminder that All Paws is CLOSED this bank holiday Monday, May 6th & will reopen as normal Tuesday, May 7th at 9am.

πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Trubs is our very cute Pet of the Week! π
"Trubs" is named after her penchant for causing trouble but she was a wee angel in here. π Did you know white cats need to wear sunscreen on the tips of their ears and nose? White cats are particularly prone to developing sunburn which unfortunately can progress to skin cancer over time.
Trubs was in for a surgery to remove a small part of each ear as she had developed skin lesions already. She was extremely brave and we wish her a speedy recovery. β€
If you have any questions on sunscreen use in pets please do not hesitate to contact our team. We can give you some recommendations as it is super important to use pet friendly sunscreen! πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Doug le Pug!! π
Doug was in today for his neuter procedure. Can you believe we have known Doug all of his life as he was born here in the clinic!! π₯°
Pugs have the best little personalities and it is easy to see why they are so loved. β€
Pugs are a member of the brachycephalic group of dog breeds. This means "short nosed". Sometimes our little pug pals can have narrowing of the nares which reduces the flow of air into their lungs. This is called stenotic nares and is part of a clinical presentation known as B.O.A.S (Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome).
B.O.A.S can cause difficulties in breathing which often presents as a stertour or snore. While under anesthetic today Doug also had surgery for his stenotic nares!
Dr. Tim helped Doug out today by surgically increasing the openings to the nose. This will greatly help Doug's breathing which we can already see as his snoring has dramatically reduced post op!! Here he is getting some post op cuddles from April & Orla before he heads home to his wonderful family π₯°
Happy recovery Doug! π€©
If your pug snores loudly and you have any questions about B.O.A.S, give us a call or come speak to one of our wonderful Vets who are always happy to provide advice and help. β€
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Casper π
This beautiful little fella came in this week for his first vaccination and health check π₯°
He is very loved by his new family and he was a 5 star patient for his first vet visit!!
Did you know your puppy needs two vaccinations, three weeks apart to ensure they are fully covered against distemper, heptatitis, canine parainfluenza, parvovirus and leptovirus?
Once they have these core vaccines, they just need one booster each year to keep them up to date π
If you're unsure if your pet is up to date with their vaccines, just contact our team on 061-275616 and we can help you!πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Chip! π
Chip is a teeny dwarf hamster who came in to see Dr. Liz this week for a check up.
He may be small but he is mighty π he has so much character and he'd give us all a run for our money on his hamster wheel!
He is so well looked after and the whole clinic was besotted by this little charmer β€πΉ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet the super handsome Sid π
Sid is the cutest boy who comes into us each month for his arthiritis injection - Librela!
He is the most well looked after doggo and his Librela injections help him to keep up with his pals on the beach πΎ
We love to see him trotting in the door, even if the feeling isn't always mutual π
Arthritis is very common in older pets so it is important to look out for any signs of discomfort such as struggling to get up or slowing down on their walks! πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
We really do have the cutest patients!!!
Meet Lola, Rupert & Marley π
We love to see these cuties, beautiful Lola gets regular check ups for her heart condition & lovely Marley comes to us for his allergies and they are the best patients π
Little Rupert is the newest addition to the crew, he is a rescue and he has landed on his paws in this 5 star home!! π€©
We are yet to see all three of them together so their lovely owner sent us this super cute photo of the trio after their groom - how gorgeous are they?? πΎβ€
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet the beautiful Pixie π
This gorgeous little girl is a tri colour Cocker Spaniel pup!
Pixie came in this week to collect her monthly flea/tick/worm treatment and she made our morning!! π₯°
Did you know that your pup needs parasite treatment each month until they're 6 months old? After that they can move on to the usual 3 monthly treatment! πΎ
It is super important for our little curious pals as they are so vulnerable to these nasty pests & to keep them happy, healthy & thriving π
All Paws will be CLOSED Bank Holiday Monday the 18th of March and reopen Tuesday the 19th of March at 9am. βοΈ
As always for emergencies please call 061-275616 and hold the line for the On Call Vet βΌοΈ
For non-emergencies you can always book online at www.allpawsvets.ie πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Mabel & Oliver π
These beautiful Chow Chow's popped into us this week for a check up and we could not get enough of these little bears β€
Little Oliver has already caught up with his big sister Mabel at only 5 months old, he's going to be a beautiful big boy π€―
They are the cutest duo!! πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet the very handsome Dash π₯°
Dash was accompanied by two of our fabulous nurses Orla & Ana for this week's Pet of the Week after his dental procedure β€
February was Pet Dental Health Awareness month and gorgeous Dash kindly modelled his new Hollywood smile for us π
You would never believe Dash is 15 years old!! His owner noticed his mouth was giving him some bother, so after a check with Dr Liz it was discovered that he had a tooth root abscess! This is a prime example as to why dental checks are so important and thanks to Dash's attentive owner, the wonderful work of Dr Liz and our amazing nurses Phyl, Orla & Ana he is now feeling a lot better and back to his happy self βΊοΈ
Regular dental care for your pets can prevent bad breath, tooth decay, and serious health issues. A yearly check is a good idea as it contributes to our pets overall health & well-being β€
Thanks for being a model patient Dash πΎ
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
Meet Phoebe & Maggie π
This beautiful dynamic duo were in to see Dr. Liz this week for their annual booster & canine cough vaccinations!
These gorgeous girls are so well looked after by their wonderful owner, they're very happy pups β€
It is so important to keep up with your pets vaccinations each year to keep them protected when they're out and about!
The Canine Cough (also known as Kennel Cough) vaccination is also a yearly vaccination which is just as important as our dogs can pick up canine cough in any populated area as it is super contagious! π³
If you're unsure if your pet is up to date with their vaccinations, give us a call on 061-275616 and we can help you π₯°
πΎπΎπΎ Pet of the Week πΎπΎπΎ
πΌ "And they call it, puppy love" β€
There was lots of love going around All Paws this Valentine's week - PUPPY LOVE π
We had two beautiful litters of puppies in this week, and the All Paws staff were definitely under their spell π
Both of the litter's parents are patients with us & it was so lovely to see their mini me's!! π₯°
They are such gorgeous, healthy pups!! They have been so well cared for and we know they will get the wonderful homes they deserve β€β€
