Longford Phoenix Basketball Club

Phoenix's Flames, one of our U12 Girls teams, had their first LLR League game last night in the Mall against Carrick Cougars.
A strong performance from all the girls saw them take the win.

Well done team and coaches.

Our second U12 Girls team , Phoenix Wings, will be out next in an away game to Ballinamore.

The first trials for LLR regional U17 Boys team, (DOB 2008/2009) will be on Friday 8th of November in Carrick Sports Complex 8:00-9:00.
(Competition will be in May)

Requirements:
-Bring your own basketball
-5€ to cover cost of the complex
-make sure you are registered for 24/25 season.

Well done to the Phoenix U18 Girls who notched up their first MABB Division 1 League win of the season with a 56:53 win in an exciting game against Athlone in the Mall this morning.

We then have the lads from .lifestyle in to sort us out with a recovery session.
TOA are our recovery partners for the season.

New players are welcome and we will be discussing training times for the season on Saturday

We are very happy to announce that Mark Canty has been appointed head coach for our senior ladies' team for the 24/25 season.

Mark hopes to build on the success of the team while also bringing through our under18s into senior ladies and has had great success in developing youth in the club for the last 3 years as under 18 boys head coach and we wish him and the team the very best for the season going ahead.

Intro To Table Officials Programme and NBN23 confirmed for July The Commissioners Table Officials Committee (CTOC) will operate their latest 'Intro to Table Officials and NBN 23 Programme' online on Saturday July 27th, ahead of the 2024/25 National League season.
