Reminder! The grace period for back protectors finished on 1st July. This means that only the BETA 2018 standard is permitted at Eventing Ireland competitions and training.

Jane Kinsella has named her GAIN Equine Nutrition Irish Pony Eventing Squad for the Pony Eventing European Championships in Westerstede.

Horse Sport Ireland Pony Eventing Team Manager Kinsella sends a squad of six to the championships, with hopes high the team can reproduce some excellent recent results.

Ireland won bronze at the FEI European Championships for Ponies in Le Mans, France, last year, following on from a gold medal win in 2022.

Kinsella said: “I am very pleased to announce the squad for the upcoming Pony Eventing European Championships in Westerstede.

“I would like to congratulate them on their performances leading to their selection and I would also like to take this opportunity to thank their parents and support teams on their hard work, commitment and dedication to the High Performance Pony Eventing Programme.

“Huge thanks to GAIN Equine Nutrition, Horse Sport Ireland, Eventing Ireland, the GMMF and Mandy Boyle, Equieire, Dubarry, TRM Nutrition, Berney Bros Saddlery, Flex-on and KEP Italia for their ongoing support.”

You can enter for the Grassroots Championship pending an MER at either The Clare or Ballindenisk. If you enter but don't qualify, your entry will be refunded.

List 3 Judge, Paula Geiger, along with Eventing Ireland Youth Ambassador, Kate Walsh Eventing, will give us a "Through the Judge's Eyes" dressage demo at the Grassroots Championship on Saturday 13th July, after Dressage has completed.

What a fantastic opportunity for our Grassroots riders to pick up invaluable hints and tips for their test riding!

2024 Eventing Ireland Debutants Maeve Deverell and the homebred Annaharvey Dunowen are already making waves! On their way to winning the EI100(J) at Grove, they recorded 2024's best dressage AND finishing score at all levels so far. Annaharvey Dunowen was bred by Maeve's grandfather, Henry Deverell, by Radolin (KWPN).

Equipe Saddles Ireland in association with Kilguilkey House Eventing Ireland International are delighted to announce that Selleria Equipe Rider and Olympic Gold Medalist Laura Collett Eventing will be giving a cross country coursewalk on Friday Afternoon/Evening (time to be confirmed on Friday) in Kilguilkey. Laura has also been selected to represent The UK 🇬🇧 in Paris Olympic’s 2024, Congratulations 🙌 Laura. All riders are welcome and we would really like to encourage the Eventing Ireland - Youths to attend.
