It was a great pleasure to attend the launch of Martin Quigley’s new book, “More than a number“.
Martin’s book is a comprehensive guide for anyone who is on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth and will certainly give practical information and guidance both personal and work related that will help with a deeper understanding of yourself and bring out your inner qualities. The book is a valuable guide to help you understand yourself and others through the Enneagram personality model.
The Enneagram is a model of human psychology and personality theory, that is based on the idea that each person has a unique and innate personality structure, or "essence," that shapes the way they see the world and themselves.
I would highly recommend it and Martin’s work.
“More than a number” is available on www.buythebook.ie or by scanning the QR code.
Friday Facts #1 - Knee Pain
Do you know that Amatsu can be very successful in treating or managing Acute and Chronic knee pain? Do you know the difference between these conditions?
Acute pain is recognised as pain that occurs suddenly, usually triggered by a specific cause and it tends to be sharp in quality. Examples of the causes of Acute knee pain include runner's knee, torn ligaments, sports injuries, car accidents, injuries or accidents in the workplace, surgical procedures and fractures/broken bones.
Amatsu can assist with reducing the Acute pain and speeding up the healing and recovery.
Chronic pain is ongoing and doesn't go away once the injury or illness that caused the pain has disappeared. It can often last for months or even years. Examples or conditions that can lead to Chronic knee pain can include rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, osteoarthritis and dislocation.
Whilst Amatsu cannot cure the cause of Chronic pain, it can help to reduce pain and help to maintain your mobility.
If you would like more information please contact Colin or Dáire at Kokoro Clinic and we would be happy to discuss your condition in confidence and work on a treatment plan and outline the number of treatments you may need.
As another year comes to a close I want to wish you and all our clients a very happy Christmas and peaceful new year.
Many thanks for your support during the year, it's very much appreciated.
This year instead of cards we are making a donation to the RNLI (www.irishlifeboats.com or www.rnli.org) and Indreni who provide education for children in Nepal (www.indreni.org).
Many thanks and stay safe. Colin

,5,6 all a bit of a blur 😃. Yet again great work by MyCabin, only the exterior painting left for them to complete. Dáire and Colin spent the last two days painting the interior and we're delighted to announce that Dáire will be seeing clients in his new treatment room from tomorrow, 19th June. Hours will be 9.30 - 17.30 Monday to Friday by appointment only.
done! Again trojan work by MyCabin in temperatures above 26° today. On the home stretch now. Dáire's new treatment room will hopefully be up and running next week🤞
Day 2 progressed well - roof on, electrics installed, insulation on walls, floor and roof also completed. Great work by MyCabin again today.
One mighty man from MyCabin was extremely busy today building in 27° heat. Super impressive work for .
Quite a sizeable delivery today, build starts next week with MyCabin.
Big changes coming soon at Kokoro Clinic......
Kokoro Clinic celebrates 15 years in business this month.
It’s been an incredible journey to build the practice over the last 15 years with many challenges and much learning along the way. It has also been a great privilege to work with so many clients in that time and I am so grateful for your support and loyalty over the years. For your trust in me to refer so many of your friends and relatives to the practice, a heartfelt thank you to you all.
I must also say a very special word of thanks to my family, my wonderful wife Annemarie for her love, patience, and support, our daughter Tara currently pursuing a PhD in spinal disc regeneration, and also our son Dáire, who is expanding his own practice within the clinic, working with both humans and developing Canine Amatsu. I would not be in this position without all of you.
Looking forward to the years ahead.
Wishing all our clients and friends and very happy Christmas and peaceful New Year. Thanks for all your support throughout the year it is very much appreciated. This year instead of sending Christmas cards we are donating to the St Vincent de Paul and Unicef charities.🎄🎅
From 22nd October the government have made some changes in the next phase of reopening the country which are well documented.
At Kokoro Clinic we will continue to adhere to the guidelines set out previously and want to reassure clients that the following will remain in place to ensure the safety of all our clients and therapists –
• All clients will still be required to complete a Covid-19 declaration in advance of a scheduled appointment
• All clients will be temperature checked on arrival at Kokoro Clinic
• We will continue to fully clean and sanitise the clinic in between appointments
• You will still be asked to wash your hands on arrival
• You will still be required to wear a face mask (unless you have a valid medical exemption)
The numbers of Covid-19 cases are continuing to rise, and we would ask all clients to continue with the basic public health advice to wash hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes and use their common sense in crowded settings. The measures we all take now will hopefully see a reduction in cases and ensure that no further lockdowns are reintroduced.
Meet the gorgeous Bruno, a senior German Shepherd who presented with hip dysplasia and arthritis in his neck and spine. I have been working on Bruno roughly every two weeks and as his sessions have progressed his pain has reduced, and his movement improved significantly. As a result of this he has grown in confidence. He will need continuous therapy, the aim of which is to keep him mobile and pain free. As Bruno continues to improve the plan is to extend the time period between treatments.
