Came across this little poem awhile back which really resonated with me and one that I’ve read out at the end of yoga class. We re living in a world now where we are bombarded with faster, quicker, instant, better, perfection quick results, people pleasing, anxiety inducing and when we don’t reach that perfection or unrealistic goal there’s a feeling of failure, low mood and even depression, what ever happened to slow and steady wins the race.
They say one of the most stressful things in life to do is move house 🏠 and having recently done it I 💯 agree with that and I want to thank my yoga students in particular for their patience, understanding and cheering me on🙏🙏 I love and appreciate you all. I’m now settled and loving my new home, spent a lovely few days in Dublin with my family, took in a show at Bord Gáis and watched the blues beat bohemians at daly mount park what a fantastic evening that was and picked up a stinking cold along the way but that’s ok. So back to enough, all we do is good enough, Friday morning yoga is back after the Easter break this Friday 11.30 in Ballinakill Pm if you’d like me to hold a space for you and if we can’t balance in tree 🌴 pose it’s enough but I can promise you ll feel calm and ready for the weekend. The Anatomy of a Breath🫁
Knowing that our breath affects our Mind & Body, you are invited to consider the anatomy of a breath. Sometimes there are simply 2️⃣ parts to a breath - inhale and an exhale. This can be expanded to a 3️⃣ part breath where we have an inhale, then we hold the breath in (breath retention), followed by an exhale. And, this can be further expanded to a 4️⃣ part breath - an inhale followed by holding the breath in (breath retention), followed by an exhale, followed by holding the breath out (breath suspension).

Brigid s day, hope everyone is enjoying the new bank holiday, I certainly am, spring has sprung and the sun is out and I’m looking forward to the long days ahead, this is me in 3 leg dog one of my favourite stretches. Always good to update the fist aid cert as you never know when you might need to use it, as a matter of fact I had to help a lady out yesterday and I was able to remain calm in knowing what to do. Would highly recommend premier first aid.

Hello everyone,
We would like to take this moment to offer a warm heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you for making the first event of the Angela Doyle Yoga memorial such a special and meaningful occasion. Over the last two weeks we had so many beautiful offerings of various classes both in person and online and we are so grateful for all the amazing Yoga teachers who gave their time to make this memorial event so special. We are very thankful to Tomas Power for offering the beautiful space at over the last two weekends where many of us came together, connected and enjoyed a class.
Planning this memorial was all about honouring the memory of the beautiful Angela and her connection with the Yoga community through her loving partner Michael. We also wanted to raise some funds for the Solas Cancer Support Centre to support the great services they provide. With the amazing generosity of all who donated between online and cash donations we have raised over €8,000, yes you have read that correctly, over 8k which has blown our minds. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude, Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are planning to present this amazing cheque next week which is very exciting.
This whole event was more successful than we ever imagined and we are excited that this will be an annual celebration. We will also have some additional offerings throughout the year with community yoga practices and regular teacher practices so please keep connected to this page for all the latest offerings.
