My Bhanu and my Maya❤️

Most people don't know my full name is Divya Bhanu Rolla and I am named after this beautiful and kind lady who I proudly call my grandmother Bhanumati Devi... ❤️

She is 97, fiesty and made of steel and the apple of all our eyes.

This picture for me is priceless, my 6 year old with her 96 year old great grand mother last year....

Happy Ganapati Puja to all!!!

I don't consider myself religious, hardly follow customs which do not make sense to me, And i tend to question everything.

But I belive in love, joy, magic and celebrations of all kinds especially when they involve amazing stories, yummy food and symbolisms...❤️

And my family and I build these festivals into little personalised traditions which give us joy and which we can relate to...

I have grown up hearing stories of Ganesha with great delight and the same goes for my daughter now..

I love how his image means so many things... So here is my wish for us as we come to the finish a particularly challenging year

- May we use our ears like ganesha, to listen and understand more.. and not just hear.
- May our mouths, small like ganesha, talk less and only speak the truth with empathy.
- May our large stomachs like ganesha, digest all the good and bad in life with equanimity.
- May the large head like Ganesha, inspire is to think big and not be sucked into the everyday pettiness of the mind
- May the rope in ganeshas hand pull us to our highest goal of self realisation.
- May the mouse at his feet keep all our desires under our control lest they wreck havoc in our lives
- May the single tusk signify how we retain the good and cast away the bad and move forward.
- May the axe in the other hand, help us cut off all bonds and attachments which do not serve us anymore


May the year ahead be joyous and as free of obstacles as possible....💜💜💜
