Home : Solapur
Status - Under construction
Area - 8000 Sq.ft Duplex

Nested in Solapur this family home was planned before we were hit by something. The core concept is to make it human-centric by minimizing the effects of climate, especially in summer. Although the design diversity of private homes often relies on how each project responds to the topography, context, and material availability, the most significant factor of residential architecture is users and what they require in terms of spatial needs and preferences. This user-centric approach has long been practiced, Mies van der Rohe once explained that "the architect must get to know the people who will live in the planned house. From their needs, the rest inevitably follows".

We have made it possible.
We have made our clients in to run through a different design channels.
We have worked on this project insanely by handling the pandemic.
We ensured every design concept run through the client mind.
We hope every other design sense around this space would take a different shape in the coming time.

We are looking forward to finishing this and landing the eye-catching final site photographs.

This project with an approximate area of 8000 Sq.ft, is designed on a land area of 8000 Sq.ft,. This project is designed in a modern style and based on introversion. The employer's request to have a large building while maintaining security and inner peace and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

LifeUp design team has worked thoroughly and brought everything in the design basket. The project is moving forward by focusing on the interior volumes.

Bringing nature into the heart of family life, this villa has been designed to embrace and celebrate its beauty of interior and exterior.

A functional family home that creates open spaces for gathering and enjoying family life while at the same time offering privacy and seclusion for those moments of necessary solitude. In this motley context and its large openings, the villa seeks the maximum amount of natural gifts.

Rhythmic Pattern - Constant repetition of a particular shape in any interior adds more feel to the space. Patterns give you the ability to bring energy, interest and contrast into your design, and when patterns are done well they bring a room together and give depth to your space. Using the patterns the space takes a whole new feel and depth.

Different styles of interior followed throughout the world are depicted in the context of Indian styles. Many of our clients in preliminary kick-off meetings get confused and it sometimes ends up in rework of teams to extract understand the taste.

We come up with clubbing all the types together to avoid such reworks and get ideas as easily as possible. This shows all the syles of the interior in one shot! Have a look and let us know in the comments which style you would like most.

Colors and my affection

Playing with shades of colors is one of my favorite thing and my profession always gives me joy. The names, nature, and science of colors. Different colors trigger different emotions and set different moods around. It plays with psychology. As an interior designer need to know how they work with each other along with different elements to be able to create a pleasing experience.

Basically categorized into warm and cool colors. Colors greatly impact the mood of the viewer. Since warm colors increase metabolism and make you hungry, the interiors of restaurants often have hues of yellow, orange, and red to increase appetite. Blues represent trust, creativity, and calmness.

Colors can help to create an illusion of a bigger or a smaller room. If the room is small and the amount of natural light is limited, light colors are the way to go. If the room is large, darker colors will create a cozy, comfortable environment.

Sun path plays a very crucial role in highlighting the intensity difference at various times of the day and then to play with color of walls, curtains, fabrics, furniture, floor, and some other elements of interior/exterior. This altogether placed with the right rhythm of details is a theme. While selecting a palette one has to think about the nature of the property, its purpose before finalizing the theme.

Thanks for sending this cosmos.

Visiting the site with a client, having a thorough and mature discussion to get the final output without hampering the schedule is key to any successful project.

This makes feel so good and boosts for a more sensible design.

Stall Design (VM) - Reel making continues with the first real site

Good old days!

Back in 2015 one of the interesting projects where a lot of insights were explored. That was a new world for learning especially in visual merchandising and .pvp never failed to expose their students to new tasks.

The dream was to tighten the lifetime relationship with the art that makes something creative and turn it into a new version of it. This was one of the little steps to realize that it was one of the best decisions of life to become an interior designer. Where I could experience the great blender of art and one of the professions associated with it.

It was quite fun doing this all. Collecting sand from the beaches of Mumbai, gathering everything required from markets, coordinating with carpenters and making sure that everything fits into the budget without affecting the quality was an enriching experience and lessons for life. All we have done within a span of 7 days under the scorchy sun. I and my team ended up with a runner-up position but I got to know a lot about the power of sharing and team-building activities.

The learnings seeds were growing slowly. Actually doing a project/task gets you the best familiarity about a subject, and solves many ambiguities you have about certain aspects, and strengthen your already acquired knowledge.

Concept - Rajasthani theme based
Area - 10'x10'
Place - .pvp

This is how it all went and every step counted towards the journey of an interior designer. Remembering the quote by Jillian Michaels, “It’s not about perfect. It’s about effort.” I started realizing this in my life.

26/03/2022

Designing is understanding the inner voice of culture and utter efforts to maintain it. Selecting an unique one is always my favourite thing.

26/03/2022

Today's visit was so different from the others I do normally. The earth smell is what made me happy as soon as I enter such shops for selection. I've been trying to decide which indoor plants will go best with one of our projects and found many cute babies. Also, there is a separate section for the antique artifacts. I loved the overall collection. Such visits are the best for satisfying the handover of projects to clients.

The Egyptian chest - An hands-on experience of furniture making

In 2014, captured on Nokia still highlights my little details and joy behind the making. These preserved memories with my teammates boost me always!

The basic intention behind making the above model is to expose students to practical aspects of carpentry. Students were allowed to use cutting pieces and the task was to create something creative seating furniture out of the provided pieces. There were many options like painting, pasting, drawings and carving, etc. to mold it into a concept or theme. Out of that, this had prepared using drawing and adhesives on it making theme goes into Egyptian chest.

This helped me later in my life when I end up selecting costly furniture I could imagine and understand the efforts behind the making and hence the price.
pvp has played a very crucial role in making me today where I am. Now above model is the part of the waiting area near HOD's cabin in the Department of Interior Design.

Market research continues. Selecting the right material in a pandemic was one of the challenges to absorb variations. But we've managed that very well with the support of technology. Visited a furniture store for selection in Bengaluru. These stunning furniture shades, eye-catching finishes, and quality give the actual confidence. Now as a designer your game starts now. Depending on the client, In the end, there are some compromisations you have to make either due to budget or availability ensuring minimal changes in the design theme.

Today tried multiple options with contemporary and little bit of classical touch theme and presented to client. Stay tuned for more such interesting highlights.

Nested in Solapur and highlighting a modern splash of joy is ready to receive the final finish now. Two duplexes one above the other are punctuated by a sheltered courtyard that facilitates natural light and ventilation. Being in the high thermal zone edges are shaded in such a way as to mitigate heat gain and planned to receive as much as diffused light avoiding direct sunlight. Each level of the villa is simultaneously open to outdoor. The landscape around the villa helps to achieve this and maintains the temperature.

Stay tuned for continuous video having a full walk-through highlighting exciting interior.

Located in the heart of Kolhapur started standing tall on site finally.

This is one more of how simple things can change overall structure aesthetics. Just tried adding a simple projection and look it gives different aesthetics. Sometimes a simple idea could work as a tint in your overall design.

26/03/2022

Simple projections. This bungalow was designed long back and started taking shape on site now.

26/03/2022

Go on, take a peek through the window and have a look. We don't mind. Nice. Isn't it.

Photos from LifeUp Design Studio's post 26/03/2022

The magic of the window is not in itself but in the view it shows outside. Windows are special and everyone wants a seat near the window for the breeze to forgot a summer and to enjoy a rainy season. All of this to put a smile and feel the nature from a shelter.

While one of the site visits I came across this window designed and constructed British era. I just loved the shape and detailing.

A fully renovated living room is so much more than the sum of its parts when it encourages the soul to breathe.

It is one of the areas of the home where inmates spend most of their time and so needs careful space organization to make it feel fresh, relaxed and comfortable for discussions.

Photos from LifeUp Design Studio's post 23/03/2022

The first & fast: First (about to complete) project is always special. The core of the project in this micro-apartment was the use of materials and light along with planning, which took up a major role in the background.

The major requirement of the client was space and natural light planning. Being a 1BHK apartment of (400 Sq.ft) it was challenging to plan this space without affecting the structural configuration for a family of 4 people.

The discussion about this project happened long back pre-pandemic and stopped afterward. A few days back we began with site measurements and our team was rushed into submissions and material selections. Especially when you have a very micro team (less than 4 people) you are juggling between different aspects of the project to achieve the first milestone. But it makes the team as one and lets everyone knows the key points about everyone.

More details on this as the site progresses.

Photos from LifeUp Design Studio's post 23/03/2022

This is one of the ongoing projects situated in Solapur city that started back in 2019 on 8000 sq. ft of a piece of land and it's on the verge of completing construction works. Progressive images of the site show the scheme of residential space that is planned for the two families that comes with common land and shared amenities.

A combination of large openings and a mix of double-height spaces are designed in such a way that maintains natural daylight, optimum ventilation pushing it energy efficient and ensuring fun living space for the dynamic young couple(s) and their furry family.

When we took over the project architectural planning was almost over and the site had begun so all came to us for material selection, site inspection, and interior design. We are excited to kickstart on upcoming designs.

More on the project as it progresses on site.
