In this interview, Bangalore-based The Purple Ink Studio reminisces its ideology, approach and journey.

The building opens up once you walk in and responds completely to the massive contour/drop which offers spectacular views of the valley.

MAIA Pelican Grove, shot recently, is one of those rare projects in Bangalore that was designed to seamlessly connect with the beautiful Jakkur Lake.
While the lower levels integrate with the Greens that are in abundance, the Terraces offer a spectacular view of the vast horizon.

The amenities on the Sky Deck/Terraces were planned with the lake as a backdrop and a palette that was bold, crafted, and seamless.

The Architectural Vocabulary for the Anaha Spa was defined by two distinct materials that formed the narrative. The Concrete and the Brick, both used to generate the experiences that are spatially distinct.
Seen here are the Semi-Detached Spa Rooms where the geometry of the network of the walkways leading to each room transitions from a very concrete plaster finished raw structure into something that's extremely personal and warm inside the rooms (with the use of exposed bricks, not seen in the images here).
Planned as a completely Day Building, approached from the large pivoted door, the space opens up from semi-open space to a completely open experience as we walk.
The detached spaces and the walkways allow the users to slow down, absorb and experience the various moments with the sun, sky and the earth
