The campaign spread awareness about plastic pollution and the harmful effects of plastic water bottles on human health and on the environment. The event, held at Loyola Engineering College at Nungambakkam in Chennai, received an amazing response from students and teachers. We are grateful to SRF Limited for their kind sponsorship. On World Water Day, Utkarsh Global Foundation is pleased to launch “Utkarsh – Save Water” Campaign in three states, Maharashtra, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. The campaign motto is “Fix a Leak Today, Save Water for Tomorrow!” Utkarsh hopes to fix every leaky tap in households and commercial spaces and help communities save water.
Leaky taps waste precious water daily and we do not even seem to notice it. In Mumbai, In Mumbai, around 650 million litres of water are wasted every day from leaky taps. It is nearly equal to Mumbai’s daily shortfall of 550 million litres. Around 3.4 trillion litres of water go waste in India every year.

2000+ cloth bags distributed at the “Say No to Single-Use Plastics” Campaign at Anna Adarsh College for Women in Anna Nagar, Chennai on 7 March 2023. The campaign also included an awareness campaign on plastic pollution.

Utkarsh is holding “Say No to Single-Use Plastics” awareness campaigns in Chennai for two years in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Tamil Nadu Government, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, and the Greater Chennai Corporation.

At the day-long celebrations of World Menstrual Hygiene Day in Tamil Nadu, Utkarsh Women Education and Empowerment Movement held menstrual health awareness campaign at Semmenchery Housing Board in Chennai, and distributed Utkarsh-Nirali Sanitary Napkins to the attendees. Around 120 Nirali sanitary napkins were distributed. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Drawin mossess, Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB), Project Head, and Mrs. Tamilarasi, Women and Child Care, TNUHDB who felicitated our chief guest, Dr. Jacqueline, eminent gynaecologist.
