Get yourself registered for covid 19 vaccination as soon as possible !!

WHO recommends that mothers with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 should be encouraged to initiate or continue breastfeeding. The benefits of breastfeeding substantially outweigh the potential risk of transmission.

Don’t let blocked fallopian tubes hinder your journey to motherhood.
Fertilisation of the female egg and s***m occurs in the fallopian tube.
The most common reason for blocked fallopian tube is any past infection or any past surgery or tuberculosis. If the tubes are healthy certain blockages can be opened by a laparoscopic surgery called tubal cannulation .Incase the tubes are dialated or damaged then IVF can help the couples to conceive a baby.

A Pap smear or a smear test is a routine cervical screening test. It isn’t a cancer test but a preventive one .

👩🏻‍⚕️during the appointment a small sample of cells is taken from the cervix.
👩🏻‍⚕️It is checked for certain types of human papilloma virus that is HPV that can cause changes to the cervical cells.
👩🏻‍⚕️ The sample is checked for any abnormal cells or HPV and in case found a suitable treatment plan will be decided to prevent disease from potentially resulting in cervical cancer.
👩🏻‍⚕️If you are aged between 25 to 45 years you are adviced to get your screening done once in every three years.
👩🏻‍⚕️ if you are aged between 50 to 64 years you are advised to get your screening done once in every 5 years.
👩🏻‍⚕️ The screening interval could change based on your individual risks and test results.

❤️ cervical cancer is a treatable condition if detected in its earlier stages. Unfortunately, in its earliest stages one may not experience any alarming signs or symptoms . A routine cervical screening is the best way to pick up on this at the earliest.

❤️It is a relatively short procedure that is usually not painful at all but it may cause some discomfort and remember you are in control and can stop the doctor at any point.
❤️ so please don’t FEAR THE SMEAR and encourage your family and friends to get screened!!

💉 my experience

Have been fortunate enough to receive the first dose of covishield vaccine and I am grateful🙏🙏

🙋‍♀️my experience - I received the vaccine at 10 am in the morning and they asked me to stay in the vaccination centre for 30 mins to monitor for any untoward symptoms post vaccination . I worked through the day and was fine . Had a bit of myalgia and pain the the arm the next day which resolved in 24 hrs . No fever, no downtime . No supportive medications taken.

Remember your body is supposed to react and the symptoms I described above are all considered normal . Each individual has their own range of reactions , I am just sharing my experience to be transparent .

The second dose will be given after 28 days 😇😇

💉The vaccine gives you good protection but does not protect you a 100 %
💉it does not mean that you can stop wearing masks , not until herd immunity is developed
💉and you can still infect others

All you need to know about Vitamin D !!🌞🌞
Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones, teeth and muscles .We need vitamin D to help the body absorb calcium and phosphate from our diet .

A lack of vitamin D i.e. vitamin D deficiency can cause bones to become soft and weak leading to deformities .

How do we get vitamin D ?

Our body creates vitamin D from direct sunlight on our skin when we’re outdoors.
We also get some vit D from a small number of foods including oily fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines as well as red meat and eggs .
It’s also added in infant formula milk , some breakfast cereals , and non dairy milk alternatives .
Another source of vitamin D is dietary supplements .

Who should take vitamin D supplements ?

All babies from birth to 1 year old 🌞
All children aged 1 to 4 yr olds .🌞
People who aren’t exposed to the sun , who are housebound , or unwell . 🌞

Everyone over the age of five years must take a monthly maintainable dose of vitamin D .🌞
We have seen that almost 90 percent of our patients are suffering from vitamin D deficiency due to lack of exposure to sunlight . Get your vitamin D levels checked yearly and add supplements accordingly to keep up with your vitamin D levels as adviced by your doctor .

Self administration of vitamin D supplements is not adviced as over Intake may lead to vit D toxicity . ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Cervical erosion - when mild infections of cervix or va**na are not treated on time ,they turn into chronic infections leading to changes in th mucosa of the cervix causing erosions .
It is therefore adviced to get urself examined by a gynaecologist once a year to rule out any early changes in your cervix and a PAP smear is recommended once in three years .
Many a times erosions are incidental findings on pelvic examinations and the patient comes with symptoms of backache , lower abdominal pain and va**nal discharge . If your PAP smear is normal then cryocutery is an excellent painless procedure to heal your erosions .
