School of Education, Galgotias University conducted the First Doctoral Committee Meeting of Ph.D. Odd/ Fall 2023-24 scholars on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Shireesh Pal Singh, Professor, Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi for enlightening the scholars.

School of Education, Galgotias University B.Ed. and M.Ed. students and faculty members organised and celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti in the Panchsheel Balak Inter College, Noida.
Students and faculty members offered their tribute to Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar and recalled his contribution to the nation.

School of Education, Galgotias University follows the practice of providing a different platform to expose our pupil teachers to various facets of learning. For this purpose, we used to organize educational visits to renowned academic institutions. School of Education organized a one-day “School visit to the Panchsheel Balak Inter College, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Savitri Bai Phule Balika Inter College, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students with faculty members on 4th April 2024.

During the school visit, students interacted with school principals, teachers, students and non-teaching staff. The team also visited the school campus and hostel of the campus. Students grasped the idea of preparing teaching learning material at a low cost.

Other than available teaching-learning resources in the schools, students were also exposed to ongoing activities like arrangement of the classes, time-table preparation, conducting entrance exams for new admissions and methods used to correct the answer sheets.

It remained a great learning experience for the whole team of the School of Education to visit the schools.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) first and second year students of the School of Education, Galgotias University presented their papers in the National Seminar organised by the IIMT College of Science & Technology, Greater Noida on 5 March 2024.

Congratulations to Mr. Shubham Vats Ph.D. scholar of the School of Education, Galgotias University and his supervisor Dr. Navita Malik on winning the best paper presentation award in the International E Conference on the theme Education Generation Next- Global Leadership and Management in Education: Future Perspectives, Collaboration and Research organized by the Centre for Teacher Education Institute of Professional Excellence & Management Ghaziabad.

B.Ed. and M.Ed. Students of the School of Education Galgotias University organized the Diwali celebration. Several activities were conducted by the students such as a Skit on Ramayana, dance, bhajan-singing, and poetry recitation, witnessed by the whole family of SOE together. Each student enthusiastically participated in the program and made this event a resounding success.

School of Education, Galgotias University conducted a Colloquium for Ph.D. scholars on 28th October 2023. Two eminent educationists were invited as external experts for the Ph.D. colloquium. School of Education, Galgotias University conducted a Colloquium for Ph.D. winter 2021-22 scholars on 13 October 2023. Thanks to Prof. Harjeet Kaur Bhatia, Professor and Former Head, DES, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia University, New Delhi for enlightening the scholars.

Galgotias University focuses on providing maximum practical knowledge to its students to enrich their experience and enhance their learning. As a part of the outreach program 42 B.Ed. and M.Ed. students of the School of Education, Galgotias University visited Government School in Dankaur, Gautam Buddha Nagar on 05.10.2023. Mr. Niranjan Nagar, principal of Primary School Dankaur welcomed all faculty members and students of Galgotias University to the school and also familiarized students about the functioning and structure of the school. In the school B.Ed. and M.Ed. students conducted various activities to give moral values and enhance the knowledge of kids through nukkad natak. Students depicted the importance of health and hygiene and motivated students to keep the earth clean through their skit which was enjoyed by the students. To sensitize the students about cleanliness the B. Ed. students presented a special nukkad natak on cleanliness awareness. Apart from nukkad natak students performed various activities like yoga for managing stress, counseling sessions, question-answer sessions on general knowledge, songs, bursting balloons to remove stress and just a minute etc. It was a very informative and unique experience for all the students of the B.Ed. and M.Ed. program. It was a very successful event as students of Primary School Dankaur actively participated in the program and seemed very enthusiastic throughout the event.

It was a great learning experience for the students. This outreach program was coordinated by Dr. Shri Kant Dwivedi, and Dr. Navita Malik Associate Professor, School of Education, Galgotias University.

School of Education organized a one-day “Educational visit to the District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Dankaur, Gautam Buddha Nagar for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students with faculty members on 5th October 2023.

Firstly, students visited the institute, interacted with the faculty members and collected information regarding the structure and activities of different departments of DIET, Dankaur. Students grasped the idea of preparing teaching learning material at a low cost.

After the visit, DIET Dankaur organized a session at their central hall to make our students understand the role and function of DIET. The session was conducted by Dr. Raj Singh Yadav Principal, DIET and other senior lecturers for the students of the School of Education, Galgotias University. Students were enlightened on various working units like Pre-service Teacher Education, In-service Programs Field Interaction and Innovative Co-ordination, Curriculum Material Development and Evaluation, Planning and Management, Programmes of Computer and Educational Technology, District Resource Unit, and Work Experience. Students witnessed the function of the Districts Institute of Education and Training. At the end, students had a question-answer session which clarified their doubts and a vote of thanks by students of B.Ed.

To sensitize the youth of today and inculcate in them the values of empathy and compassion School of Education, Galgotias University organised a visit for B.Ed. third-semester students, session 2023-24, on 03 October 2023. Students visited an old age home “Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram” being run by an NGO ‘SHEOWS’ near the Badarpur Border, New Delhi.

Dr. G. P. Bhagat, manager of the old age home explained in detail the background of the old age home and how he managed to rescue the abandoned old people from railway stations, bus stops, footpaths, market place etc. Many are even dropped off at the home by their own kith and kin.

He enlightened the students on the mental and physical state of the patients and also said they are unable to recognize or name their family members. Students were made aware of the facilities that were made available to the senior citizens like- a clinic, physiotherapy center, prayer hall, bedroom, kitchen etc.

It was really a poignant experience for all the students and a huge learning experience for the young citizens who contribute to the betterment of their condition. This visit is coordinated by Dr. Shri Kant Dwivedi, Associate Professor, School of Education, Galgotias University.
