SABAL - Dignity Through Ability

The Tata Steel Foundation is organising the 3rd edition of ‘Sabal Awards’ ceremony. It is a commemoration ceremony for persons with disabilities.

SABAL aims to not only discover, recognise and celebrate talent among Persons with Disability, but it also focuses on preserving their innate spirit in their pursuit for success and excellence.

SABAL was initiated in the year 2017 as an ecosystem for persons with disability and is designed to enable dignity through accessible infrastructure, capability development, economic independence and sensitivity. It is meant to create solutions for persons with disability in rural communities of India.

Music is for everyone, and a good talent can come from anywhere. With this belief in mind, SABAL Awards has partnered with Shankar Mahadevan Academy to evaluate the participants in the SABAL- Vocalist Category and SABAL - Musical Maestro Category.
SABAL Awards, is one of SABAL’s initiatives that celebrates and lauds the unrelenting spirit of PwDs who rise
against all odds by exhibiting their multifaceted talents and achievements at a national scale. Through a token
of appreciation, in the form of a certificate/trophy/memento and cash prize, SABAL Awards intends to provide
an open platform to PwDs to share their talents, thoughts and opinions with the world.
Winners will be mentored by Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
