Mrs Madhu Karnawat Jain, Founder- Director of IIFL Foundation Receives 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗦𝗥 at House of Lords, London.

Mrs. Madhu Jain, Founder-Director of IIFL Foundation has been recognized as a Global Power Leader 2024 in CSR for her contribution towards girl child education by WhitePage International.

Mrs. Jain was awarded along with distinguished global leaders in various fields at the Peers Room, The House of Lords, The Palace of Westminster, London.

Mrs Madhu Jain is well-known for her successful efforts towards girl child literacy in India and has received multiple recognitions across national and global platforms including the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

For her contributions, Mrs Jain has earned the moniker of '𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣' by Corporate Social Focus magazine. Her unwavering commitment and visionary leadership have carved a distinct path towards addressing the pressing issue of girl child illiteracy in the country. 'Sakhiyon Ki Baadi' program under her leadership has brought over 36,000 out-of-school girls into education system through 1,200 schools. IIFL Foundation has also adopted over 7,600 government schools and leveraged the power of technology to impart digital education to over six lac students.

Happy to share that one of our trainees Miss. 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗼, a beneficiary of the 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 in Kupwara, (Batch 1) has opened her own restaurant, New Sky Cafe and Restaurant, making her 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣 in the area to do so.

This skill development programme is conducted by REACHA with support from Indian Army, and is focused on building skills and employability of the youths from the aspirational district - Kupwara, Kashmir.

She first started working as an Executive Chef at Food Villa Hawal, Srinagar after completing the training, and assessment based on curriculum by The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) Tata STRIVE. The experience at her first job helped her to get the motivation to start something of her own.

This is a proud moment for all of us, especially considering that she used to 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮𝟱 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 to reach the training center. 🍽️👩🍳🌟

She now becomes a role model for other trainees, and would guide and empower them through her experiences as an entrepreneur and an employer.

Over 120 youths have benefitted from this skill development programme in FY 23-24.

The IIFL Foundation supported the cause of peace, non-violence and 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 with participation in IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run in on March 31.

IIFL Foundation runs one of India's largest girl child literacy programs - Sakhiyon Ki Baadi - in Rajasthan, which has brought over 36,000 out-of-school girls into the education system. There are 1,200 Sakhiyon Ki Baadi schools in Rajasthan, run by over 1,200 teachers or Dakshas.

Fifty Dakshas from Rajsamand , Khamnor and Bhilwara districts participated in the IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run in Udaipur, organized by Jain International Trade Organization's Ladies Wing.

IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run is the world's largest such run for peace and non-violence - organized in 108 locations across the world in 22 countries and is listed in the 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀

It has been found that societal evils like child marriage and domestic violence against women has reduced after a woman becomes literate.

As we practice Bhagwan Mahavir's teachings, Ahimsa in all aspects of life is important. IIFL Foundation in a small way through girl child education is aiming to achieve the same in the society by providing women education, health, social and financial wellbeing.

The ‘Sakhiyon Ki Baadi’ project has so far 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗼𝘂𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 fold and is present extensively in the areas with significant population of indigenous communities. Girl child literacy is barely in the double digits among indigenous communities in Rajasthan. IIFL Foundation is happy to have launched a free ambulance service in partnership with Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, Mira Road, Mumbai, and developed with expertise of Yashlok Welfare Foundation. In 2023, IIFL Foundation had helped construction of the fifth floor (in-patient ward) of the hospital's new building, including necessary medical equipment and multiple operation theatres.

The ambulance service equipped with advanced medical facilities was flagged off in the presence of dignitaries including Mrs. Madhu Karnawat Jain, Director, IIFL Foundation, Shri. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗸𝘄𝗮𝗱, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲, Dr. Ajay Sankhe, Director and CEO, Bhaktivedant Hospital and Dr. K Venkataraman - PhD, Director, Bhaktivedant Hospital, Mr. Alok Adhikari (Founder & Director, Yashlok Welfare Foundation). This ambulance will be operated by trained and professional staff of the BhaktiVedanta Hospital, ensuring prompt response to emergency calls.

IIFL Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (𝗠𝗢𝗨) 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻.

The project was approved under the guidance of Honourable 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Rajasthan, 𝙎𝙝𝙧𝙞. 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧, Mrs.Madhu Karnawat Jain, Director, IIFL Foundation signed the MoU with the Rajasthan government in the presence of 𝗠𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗶, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Rajasthan, 𝗠𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗿, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Rajasthan and Sahil Hamid from IIFL Foundation.

IIFL Foundation Spurs Digital Renaissance at 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 in 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿.

As a part of its ongoing efforts to foster digital literacy among students, IIFL Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the $6-billion IIFL Group, has unveiled a state-of-the-art 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 at the Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls’ School in , coupled with a donation of 𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀.

Situated within the school premises, the IIFL Foundation digital lab emerges as a beacon of technological advancement, featuring an array of tablets and essential hardware for seamless charging and storage. The tablets, 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, engaging games, and curated applications, align perfectly with the curriculum laid out by the 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱.

So far, all dental screenings have been completed and about 210 cataract surgeries are over. Remaining cataract surgeries will be completed by this weekend.

IIFL Foundation and BMC launched the Miyawaki Urban Forest project in Chembur, Mumbai in August 2023. Developed on a 𝟮𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 plot with 𝟭𝟬,𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 species, the 100 percent organic, wild, fast growing and self sustainable project is showing tremendous growth.

The project has been developed with technical expertise from Enviro Creators Foundation Forest Creators

IIFL Foundation recently organised 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗷 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘀) 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘄𝗹𝘆𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮, the cleanest village in Asia.

The village is located in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya and is popular for the sustainable approach to garbage disposal adopted by the community. The visit was successfully undertaken with support from Ms. Monica Kshir, Deputy secretary - Community and Rural Development Department, Government of Meghalaya and the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Meghalaya.

The PRI members from Rajasthan were greeted by the community and village headman known as Dorbar Shnong in Mawlynnong village. Dorbar Shnong is similar to the post of sarpanch in the states governed by the Panchayati Raj Institution. The headman shed light on the history of the village, the culture and traditions of the Khasi tribe, and their overall approach to coexistence with nature. Rajasthan PRI members then walked through the villages to study the drainage system, disposal of waste, and production of manure (soak pits), visited the community school, and visited the marketplace. The visit was supported by representatives of SIRD.

Understanding the approach taken by the Khasi community, the PRI members had many interesting ideas that they wish to now implement at their respective villages in Rajasthan to make the villages cleaner and greener.

The team also visited the head office of the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) at Nongsder, where they held discussions with Ms. Monica Kshir, Deputy Secretary - Community & Rural Development Department, Government of Meghalaya, Dr. Anita P. Jyrwa, Jt.Director, SIRD, and faculty members of SIRD. The faculty explained about the various training programmes offered by SIRD, viz., the training programme on skill development and entrepreneurship, Bamboo treatment and construction technology, Waste management through solid and liquid resource management, a course on gender budgeting and mainstreaming, and more. This was followed by a visit to a model Anganwadi centre in the Nongsder village, which was developed purely with the support of the Headman (Dorbar Shnong) and the community members. The team learned that unlike the PRI, the headman doesn’t receive any monetary funds from the state, like a sarpanch, and hence any developmental activity needs to be undertaken by leadership in the community, mobilising the resources from within.

The visit offered a good cultural exchange platform for both groups as they exchanged information about their respective cultures and contemporary practices. The PRI members have promised to take this learning back to their village and certainly reform their approach towards cleanliness in the villages.

The visit was a result of the vision held by Ms. Madhu Karnawat Jain, Director - IIFL Foundation, and was undertaken on October 19th and 20th, October ’23 and saw participation by the members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (Sarpanchs) from Pali, Jalore, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, and Banswara districts of Rajasthan.

Children also held rallies to spread message of '𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗵 𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁' and also lead the way by cleaning the habitat around their village.

IIFL Group’s CSR arm - IIFL Foundation, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) - India under the Ministry of Defence and REACHA, supported by Lohitpur Brigade and Dao Division have launched the first home stay training program for youth in Arunachal Pradesh. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The home stay training program was launched on September 11 at Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC) in Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh. 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝟭𝟲𝟬 𝗧𝗲𝘇𝘂 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆. This program emphasizes technical skills as well as essential soft skills such as communication, grooming and computer proficiency.

The home stay program was inaugurated in presence of General Officer Commanding 2 Mountain Division Lt. General M.S Bains, Mrs. Madhu Karnawat Jain, Director of IIFL Foundation, Brigadier Dr. P.M Bali, Dr. Kangki Megu, Principal, IGGC Tezu, Local District Administration and Mr. Nikhil Pant, CEO, REACHA. This is IIFL Foundation’s second such project after setting up successful hospitality and retail training centres in Kupwara district in Kashmir which has already provided jobs to local youth in reputed hotels and retail chains. Indian Army (ADGPI - Indian Army) and government officials from center and state appreciated IIFL Foundations initiatives in these regions, where infrastructure and economic developments are a part of government’s agenda.

The Ministry Of Corporate Affairs in May 2023 had called for balanced CSR spending, particularly in the Northeast. Organizations like NCC, THSC, the District Commissioner's Office and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) support this initiative.

This project is aligned with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's (PMO India) vision for Northeast development. IIFL Foundation with REACHA and NCC's support is taking a vital step in this direction. The garden has been developed on a 𝟮𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗾. 𝗠𝘁𝗿. piece of land with plantation of 𝟭𝟬,𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 species which are 100% organic, wild, fast growing & self-sustainable. Under this project, the trees will not only help revive the ecosystem but also help in 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 /𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲/𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 (𝗔𝘃𝗴. 𝟮𝟱 𝗸𝗴𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿)

Miyawaki forests grow 10x faster, are 30 x denser and contain 100x more biodiversity. Since they’re quick to establish, maintenance-free after the first two-to-three years, and can be created on sites as small as 3 sq m, Miyawaki forests are viable solutions for cities looking to rapidly build climate resilience.

IIFL Foundation is at the forefront of climate action and creating urban forests. It has earlier established Mumbai's first large 10,000-tree strong urban forest in partnership with Maharashtra government and first medicinal garden at the Institute of Science, Mumbai.

𝗥𝗞 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮, “I am overwhelmed with the enthusiasm shown by team IIFL Foundation, the project GROW by planting 10,400 trees under Miyawaki method in association with BMC and Enviro Creators Foundation. It is currently the need of the hour to grow trees as much as possible for tackling the climate change problems faced by us it is we humans who have harmed the nature in the name of development. But now it is our duty to safeguard it and IIFL foundation has taken a small step towards it hope it gives a positive message and encourages other to take up such initiatives as well. Involved students is good initiative as they are the future of this planet”.

The students at Seva Sangam Girls School and Hostel, Trichy, Tamil Nadu witnessed the historic event successfully landing moon, watching 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 in the facility built with support from IIFL Foundation.

On the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebrations, students of the 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 supported by 𝗜𝗜𝗙𝗟 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and implemented by REACHA (NGO) participated in flag hoisting at DC Office (Kupwara) and interacted with Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS).

Students handed over the Tiranga to the Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate as a token of their love for the nation. The National Anthem was also sung. There were more than 100 people present during the Flag Hoisting/exchange, including people from the local community. The event was undertaken with guidance from Col MS Navalgatti, CO, 41 RR of Indian Army at Kupwara.

Staff, Students of these project and local civilians participated in a 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 to Machil (60 km from Kupwara) near line of control and distributed Indian Flags in the villages that were on the way. Participants were received at Machil under supervision of Brigadier Vinod Singh Negi (Commander 53 Infantry Brigade). Col Rajat Kumar Birman (CO 56 RR) along with other Army officers hoisted the Tiranga on 15 August 2023 along with our students and staff and paid tribute to army martyrs at Machil War Memorial.

There was a lot of excitement amongst everyone as people came out of their homes together to celebrate the 77th Independence Day!

Indian army appreciated the efforts of IIFL Foundation and REACHA for organising such an event near line of control. This has sent a very positive message across the border that people of Kashmir love their nation like other citizens of India.

The celebration for 77th Independence Day were in full zest with our 35,000 girls at 𝗦𝗮𝗸𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝗮𝗱𝗶 and the communities, across 13 districts of Rajasthan.

IIFL Foundation's Sakhiyon ki Baadi is a programme dedicated to eradicate female illiteracy from Rajasthan. The initiative engages with girls to promote foundational literacy and numeracy skills. The programme also provides livelihood to 1100+ women, along with skill building.

Speaking on this occasion, Shrimati. Sundar Devi (Pradhan - Gogunda) told the girls of Sakhiyon ki baadi centers about the importance of independence and inspired them to pursue education till highest grades. She praised the work being done by IIFL Foundation.

Girls from Sakhiyon Ki baadi centers presented mesmerizing dances on patriotic songs.

The program was followed with a rally by the girls to spread awareness about importance of education for females.

Government High School Madar recently opened a state of art 2400 square feet hall - 'Ahimsa Bhawan' - for students and community. The hall has been built with support from 𝗜𝗜𝗙𝗟 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Mrs. Jain received the award for her pioneering efforts in providing education through 1200 unique 'Sakhiyon Ki Baadi' schools which has already brought over 36,000 out-of-school girls from marginalised communities in Rajasthan into education fold.

She is well recognized for her investment, support and timely innovation in effective and affordable drone technologies to create large-scale social impact in the areas of health and education. The last-mile vaccination drive and agricultural drone initiative is already appreciated and honoured by governments and multi-lateral agencies across the world.

She is also a trailblazer in building environment friendly schools in India. Fifty-five schools are already provided with sustainable infrastructure including off-grid solar panels in Rajasthan and Maharashtra, thereby 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀, which had not seen electricity ever or at best had patchy supply.

Under Mrs Jain's leadership IIFL Foundation is establishing Mumbai's first urban forest as a part of Mumbai Climate Action Plan and also establishing Maharashtra's first medicinal garden at the Institute of Science.

Mrs Jain received the award at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi at an event attended by public personalities and inspiring leaders from across the world.

About 34,000 girls from 13 districts of Rajasthan are engaged with Sakhiyon ki baadi initiative to attain Foundational Literacy and Numeracy skills. Over 1200 women earn livelihood from this initiative and build their skills.

On the occasion of 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 we are happy to share that Mumbai's first large 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 has been created by IIFL Foundation in partnership with the Maharashtra government MyBmc under the ‘𝗠𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻’.

The foundation stone of the Urban Forest project was laid a year ago and today about 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬-𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 strong urban forest is growing well in Andheri’s UJLP ground near Veera Desai road.

The Urban forest is created using all sustainable methods regarding water and soil conservation and is a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲. The micro-climate is already evolving as expected with lower temperature and accommodating birds and smaller organisms.

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 are important pillars of IIFL Foundation's strategy and IIFL Group as a whole. The foundation has also created Mumbai's first medicinal garden and has provided solar infrastructure for schools in interior regions of India.
