Fire Safety Training for LPAI nominated Fire Personnel was conducted from 18th to 29th March, 2024.
The Land Ports Authority of India or LPAI is a statutory body (created through the Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010) working under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing border infrastructure in India. It manages several Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) all across Borders of India.

National Fire Service College, Nagpur, Takes the Lead in Electoral Awareness Campaign:
"Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye"
In a proactive move towards enhancing electoral awareness, the National Fire Service College organised activities for the campaign titled "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye." Running until March 14th, 2024, this initiative orchestrated a multitude of activities geared towards enlightening the student populace.
Students across all academic years of the B.Tech Fire Engineering program enthusiastically engaged in the campaign, showcasing their dedication to civic responsibility and active citizenship. The campaign, organised by the college, featured series of events such as Poetry/Rap/Music sessions, Slogan Creation, Debates, Quizzes, Essay Writing Competitions, Rallies, as well as Painting and Drawing contests.
The closing event saw the recognition of winners from various activities, who were awarded certificates of appreciation by esteemed faculty members, including
Dr. A. R. Sontake, Professor, Prof Dilip Kulkarni, Dr. Kalpana Date in presence of Director Shri. R. M. Kshirsagar on March 19th, 2024. The program witnessed the presence of all B.Tech Fire Engineering students, further solidifying their commitment to civic engagement and societal responsibility.

"Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye"
The National Fire Service College in Nagpur led an electoral awareness campaign titled "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye" on March 13th and 14th, 2024. The campaign involved activities like poetry, rap, music sessions, slogan creation, debates, quizzes, essay writing competitions, rallies, painting, and drawing contests. Students from all years of the B.Tech Fire Engineering program participated actively, enhancing their understanding of democracy and becoming ambassadors for electoral awareness. This campaign demonstrated the college's commitment to fostering responsible citizenship and empowering students to make informed choices in future elections.

On March 19th, 2024, National Fire Service College ( ) conducted a motivational session aimed at igniting the spirits of its students. Renowned speakers, Prof. Dilip Kulkarni and Dr. Kalpana Date graced the occasion, delivering enlightening talks to the eager audience.
The commenced with a warm welcome address from the Director of NFSC Sh RM Kshirsagar, setting the tone for the event. Dr. A. R Sontake, Professor at NFSC, followed suit with his insightful speech, paving the way for the main speakers of the day.
Prof. Dilip Kulkarni took the stage to share his wisdom on the topic, "Fuel Your Passion." With anecdotes and advice, he motivated the attendees to pursue their dreams relentlessly, emphasizing the importance of passion in achieving success.
Dr. Kalpana Date, in her address titled "Quitting Is Not My Cup of Tea," inspired the audience with her resilience and determination. She encouraged them to persevere in the face of challenges, reminding them that setbacks are merely stepping stones towards greatness.
The session drew in students from across NFSC's B.Tech programs, including those from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. Their enthusiasm and engagement underscored the significance of such motivational events in nurturing the next generation of .

The ongoing short-term course on Breathing Apparatus was concluded on 15th March 2024 with a closing ceremony in the presence of Hon'ble Director Sh RM Kshirsagar.
The trainees shared their experience and the advantages of such field based courses that stand useful in emergency scenarios. Lectures, classroom training, and simulation exercises in various emergency scenarios were part of the strenuous training.
The training and the function were coordinated by Sh. Dharmendra Pal, Assistant Director.
National Fire Service College Hosts "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye" Awareness Camp
The National Fire Service College took a proactive step in civic engagement by organizing an awareness camp on March 12th, 2024, aimed at first-time voters under the theme "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye". The event, held at the college premises, saw active participation from officials of the local election office, Mr. Jitendra Meshram, and Mrs. Nandagaoli.
The gathering primarily consisted of B.Tech Fire Engineering students from the National Fire Service College, who were eager to learn and participate in the democratic process. The event commenced with the rendition of the national anthem, fostering a sense of patriotism among attendees, followed by an insightful video presentation highlighting the significance of voting.
As a symbolic gesture of commitment to their democratic duties, the students solemnly took the voters' pledge. This act underscored their understanding of the importance of exercising their voting rights responsibly.
Mr. Jitendra Meshram, representing the election office, engaged with the students, addressing their queries and concerns regarding the electoral process. His interactive session provided valuable insights into the mechanics of voting, ensuring that the attendees left with a clearer understanding of their role in shaping the nation's future through their votes.
The event drew to a close with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. D. K. Singh, expressing gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and emphasizing the significance of their contributions to the democratic process. The inaugural ceremony of Breathing Apparatus Short Term Course was conducted on March 11, 2024 in presence of Hon'ble Director Sh RM Kshirsagar, Asst Directors Sh Dharmendra Pal, Sh Gagan Upadhyay, Sh Parshant Kumar and Smt Vaishali Singh.
The short-term course is designed to hone the practical skills of Fire Professionals hailing from nationwide Fire Service Organizations in using Breathing Apparatus in emergency situations. The trainees will undergo class lectures as well as various practical exercises as part of the programme under the Coordinator of Sh Dharmendra Pal, Assistant Director.
On March 8, 2024, the Breathing Apparatus Training Gallery was inaugurated by Hon'ble Director Sh RM Kshirsagar in NFSC.
The project of assembling and installation of the BA Gallery was undetaken and successfully completed by Sh Dharmendra Pal, Assistant Director and his team of 88th STO trainee officers.

Glimpses of Seminar on "Selection, Installation & Maintenance of Fire Fighting Installation in the building as per NBC 2016 part 4" at Military Engineering Services, Vayusena nagar, Nagpur. Sh Parshant Kumar, Assistant Director was invited as guest faculty for the seminar.
Twenty B.Tech Fire Engineering students participated in an enlightening workshop organized by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on March 6th, 2024. Workshop was focused on the theme "Severe Weather and Meteorological Services over Central India," provided invaluable insights into weather data collection and its crucial role in disaster management.
During the workshop, students learned the intricate processes involved in gathering weather-related data, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the various instruments employed by the IMD for this purpose. They learned about the meticulous procedures of data sharing, including the frequency and formats utilized by the IMD to disseminate information to diverse stakeholders.
The interactive sessions also highlighted the significance of such data in disaster management strategies. Students were enlightened about the pivotal role of meteorological services in minimizing the impact of disasters and enhancing preparedness efforts. Understanding the weather patterns and forecasts, the students gained valuable knowledge that can be instrumental in mitigating risks and responding effectively to emergencies.
Overall, the workshop proved to be an enriching experience for the B.Tech Fire Engineering students, equipping them with practical insights and skills that can contribute significantly to their future endeavors in disaster management and emergency response.
Career Guidance and Lecture on 'Heat Release Rate' at :
National Fire Service College (NFSC) had the privilege of hosting distinguished guests Dr. Ali Rangwala, Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute; Sh Mukesh Bhai Shah, CEO of AAAG; and Sh. Jagadish V, Adviser at IITGN. Their visit aimed to engage with students across various academic levels, including B.Tech 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, providing invaluable insights into their respective fields.
Dr. Ali Rangwala took the stage to deliver a captivating lecture on the intricacies of 'Heat Release Rate', offering students a deeper understanding of this critical aspect of fire dynamics. Beyond the lecture, the esteemed guests graciously shared their expertise, guiding students towards potential career paths and offering invaluable advice to shape their academic and professional journeys.

BTech Fire Engineering Third year students Sh Gyan Ranjan and Sh Adwit Dwivedi clinched brought laurels to NFSC by clinching Bronze medal and Cash Prize of Two Thousand Rupees at National Conference organized by RTM Nagpur University on 28 February 2024.

Field visit of NBC Short term course was organized in the second week of the two week course at Nagpur Metro and VR Mall Nagpur.
Short-term course on 2nd NBC Part 4 2016 was inaugurated on February 5th, 2024, in the presence of Hon'ble Director Sh RM Kshirsagar.
The two weeks course focuses on the guidelines laid out by BIS for the fire and life safety of buildings. Sessions by various experts and faculty, industrial visits, and workshops have been arranged as part of the course.
Trainees, students and staff of NFSC participated in "Run for Leprosy - Ending stigma, embracing dignity" as part of National Leprosy Eradication Programme. 5 km distance was covered in the programme.

Glimpses of Practical Attachment of six Final year BTech Students at IIT Gandhinagar. As part of their four year degree programme, the students are sent for practical attachment at various institutes and fire service organizations for projects and practical experience.
On the occassion of Republic Day, the students interacted with Director IIT Gandhinagar, Dr Rajat M***a in presence of Prof Gaurav Srivastava and Sh Jagdish V who are also actively involved with their projects.
