Soleus Muscle Push-Up Discovery For Better Blood sugar Management | Metabolism Boost

The soleus muscle is a powerful muscle located in the calf region of the lower leg and it plays a critical role in everyday activities such as walking, running, balancing, and jumping. However, the soleus muscle is often overlooked in many workout routines despite its importance. That's where the soleus muscle push-up comes in. A soleus muscle push-up targets the soleus muscle by placing the feet flat on the ground and sitting with your knees at an angle of 90. This position helps isolate the soleus muscle during the push-up, effectively targets the muscle, and improves glucose utilization, causing the lowering effect. To perform a soleus muscle push-up, sit and place your feet flat, then raise your heels off the ground.

The Soleus lowers blood sugar by its' inability to store glycogen or significantly reduced levels, so it gets its source of energy/fuel directly from the bloodstream, the glucose, lowering it as it consumes the excess blood sugar. Soleus push-ups, done correctly and consistently, will help anyone, including people with diabetes, to reduce their blood sugar effectively. However, this does not constitute you are coming off your medications if you are already taking blood sugar-lowering medication. This is just one more arsenal to manage blood sugar levels.
Incorporating soleus muscle push-ups into your workout routine can help lower blood sugar levels. This exercise is especially beneficial for people with a sedentary lifestyle, in jobs requiring prolonged periods of inactivity or long plane flights. In conclusion, the soleus muscle push-up is a simple yet effective way to target the often-overlooked soleus muscle. Incorporating this exercise into your workout routine can help to improve blood sugar, raise metabolic rate, and increase lower leg strength, balance, and stability.

Prithvi mudra for nourishing the tissues in the body..

As the name says this mudra increases the earth element in the body and decreases the fire element. Earth element is a vital component of nails, hair, skin, bones, and muscles in the body.

Regular practice of Prithvi mudra can help repairing the tissues in the body and gives strength to the bones.

HOW TO DO PRITHVI MUDRA
Just join the tips of the ring finger and the thumb and keep the other three fingers straight and active.
Hold mudra for 10-15 minutes
Practice mudra with pranayam.

BENEFITS OF PRACTICING PRITHVI MUDRA
Good for any kind of skin diseases and rashes like urticaria.
Strengthens the tissues in the body including brittle nails
Helps with premature graying, hairfall.
Promotes weight gain.
Helps to overcome fatigue.
Gives strength to the bones and helpful in osteoporosis and Arthritis.

Shunya mudra is a simple yoga gesture designed to decrease the space element (akasha) in the body. It is a hasta (hand) mudra, and one of a series of therapeutic mudras thought to have healing properties.

In this mudra, the tip of the middle finger is placed at the base of the thumb, and the thumb presses gently on the middle finger just below the knuckle. The remaining three fingers stretch comfortably to the sky.

The name of this mudra comes from the Sanskrit shunya, meaning “emptiness,” shunya mudra is thought to provide relief from a range of hearing issues and also from:

Motion sickness
Vertigo
Ear disorders such as acute pain, hearing loss, and tinnitus
Numbness anywhere in the body

For better results practice twice daily for fifteen minutes.

Bhujangasan (Cobra Pose)
One of my favourite asan. The deeper i go the longer i want to hold.
Cobra pose is a great posture to strengthen the abdominal muscles and to reduce belly fat. This pose will strengthen the back, abdomen, and entire upper body. It also makes the spine flexible and strong.

How To Do Bhujangasana

Lie down on your belly with legs stretched.
Place the palms underneath the shoulder.
Chin on the floor and all the toes touching the floor.
Then, on inhalation slowly raise your chest up bending backwards as much as possible.
This allows your body to look like a cobra ready to strike with the head raised.
Hold the cobra pose for 15–30 secs depending on your ability.
On exhalation slowly bring your entire body down to the prone position.
Repeat this for at least 5 times with relaxation for 15 secs after each round.
Note: Don’t do this pose if you have a back injury, ulcer, and hernia, or if you are pregnant.
