Tilak Public School, Nerul organized Science fair & Inter School Project competition ' SRIJAN ' on 4th November, 2023 in memory of the founder secretary of Tilak Education Society, Late Smt. Sarada Kurup. Classes from Nursery to XII presented beautiful projects and 3-D models for the science fair. There were four groups comprising the topics "Caring for the Environment", "Science in Everyday Life", "Technology & Toys", "Innovation in Artificial Intelligence" and "Space Exploration & Colonisation".
Around 150 students of approximately 30 schools from Navi-Mumbai participated in the exhibition and displayed their innovative and creative talents. Dr. Ajit Kurup, MD of Tilak Education Society congratulated the participants for their innovative ideas and gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners.
Some of the notable winners in the different groups were New Horizon Public School;Amrita Vidyalayam; Tilak International School, Presentation Convent; SBOA Public School,DAV Nerul, MNR School of Excellence and SNG International School
Judges Dr. Vandana Pulhani (BARC) and Mrs. Sonali Kathale (Homi Bhabha Centre) appreciated the novel ideas of the participants and lauded the school for bringing out their hidden talents.
Principal, Mrs Ruby Verghese said that Srijan with the theme “Imagine-Invent-Inspire” aimed to make students more confident, future ready and learners for life.
