🔰 Following activities are planned during the Rock Festival...

1. Ramnagar Boulder competition.

2. Free Climbing & Rappelling experience for the general public.

3. Multi-pitch Climbing for experienced climbers.

4. Mountain Cleaning hike up the hills at 10 spots .

5. Adventure Photography competition open for all rock-climbers/visitors to the Festival.

North Zone refresher training camp will be held at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand from 24th August to 31st August 2021

Seven Athletes and three officials of IFSC World Youth Championship team representing our country received warm sendoff by Brigd. Ashok Abbey - President, Ms Rita Gambu Marwah - Vice President, Col SP Malik -OHS, Ms Deepu Sharma - Treasure, Debraj Dutta - Chairman IMF East Zone Committee, Amit Sharma- Secretary IMF North Zone Committee and other respected members of IMF on 18th August 2021.

IMF All India Sport Climbing Competition - 2019

( 3rd lead and 4th Bouldering) to be organised by

IMF East Zone Committee.



Venue: Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling



Dates: 21st to 23rd June 2019



Reporting : 21 June, 2019 at 3 p.m. at HMI, Darjeeling



Qualifying Age:

1. Sub junior boys and girls 10 to 13 years, (born in 2006/2007 /2008 /2009)

2. Juniors boys and girls 14 to 16 years(born in 2003/2004/2005)

3. Men and women 17 years and above



Original birth certificate should be carried along with a copy for verification



Registration: Reporting for Registration will be opened at 3.00pm at HMI Darjeeling.

Each participants require to pay Rs 1000/- as registration fee by 31st May 2019.



Participants may deposit the fee to bank A/C of IMF East zone committee or through respective Zones.



Zonal Chairmen are requested to collect fees from the participants and remit to the SB ACCOUNT NUMBER 31488753549 with State Bank of India SI branch. IFSC SBIN0014524

Participants required to bring 2 copies of PP size photos.

All participants required to carry proof of money deposited along with them at the time of registration.



One Coach and One Manager or coach cm Manager can accompany the team from each zone. Accompanying escorts /parents with sub junior participants will have to make their own arrangements. However organizer can assist them with prior information.



Boarding and Lodging: Boarding and Lodging will be arranged by the organisers from 21st night to 23rd night and all meals will be served from 21st dinner to 23rd dinner.

Participants and officials can plan their departure on 24th morning



Equipment: Athletes should bring their own foot wear and chalk bag with chalk powder

Traveling HMI is approachable by road, rail and air. Nearest railway station is NJP /Silliguri/Darjeeling, Nearest Air Port is Bagdogra



Weather: Month of June at Darjeeling (altitude 6500 ft.app.) may not be too cold (min. 18 Deg.Cel..and occasional rains) however, please bring appropriate clothing.

I take this opportunity to express my appreciation & gratitude towards the Judges, Route setters, Belayers, Volunteers & all IMF Staff Members who dedicated their weekend & contributed to the success of the “All India Bouldering & Speed Climbing Competition 2019’’ at IMF Delhi on 20th & 21st April.

The most important people to make this competition a success were the participants and their parents. It was your zeal and enthusiasm that gave all of us the energy to work day and night to serve you to the best of our capabilities. We hope and wish all the participants to grow and climb up harder and greater and in the process we would do all we can to help and support all of you.

The IMF North Zone committee was extremely compassionate to the people we served which was inspirational for all of us. I've observed the respect and kindness, you all treated each other with under all circumstances. We all know how stressful it can be, for the people who find themselves in need of such encouraging and informative services that we provide. All your encouraging words and actions go a long way towards supporting such causes for the development of the sport. I just want all of you to know that all your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.

I thank all the sponsors, it was your support that played an important role in the success of this competition.
