It's time to offer them the freedom and information they need to deal with the pain rather than shaming them into silence. Most of the adolescent girls are unaware of menstrual until they get it. This unpreparedness leads to so much avoidable fear and anxiety. According to one study, only 36% of India's 355 million menstruating females use sanitary napkins, while the rest use old rags, husk, ash, leaves, mud and soil and such other life-threatening materials to manage their flow.

With that in mind, the theme for Menstrual Hygiene Day this year was โ€œMaking menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030.โ€ A series of awareness sessions were organized for 294 women and adolescent girls at our training centers in Kharadi, Bhosari, Chakan, Talegaon and Khandi villages of Maval taluka. After the completion of the training program, sanitary pads were distributed to all the women and girls.

Summer camp is a great opportunity for children to explore new things and dive into areas they love. We are pleased to provide a few glimpses into the summer camp experience of our little sunshines.
This was the first ever Summer camp ever organised in an anganwadi set up. The children enjoyed and learned a variety of activities which included- prayer, meditation, exercise, hand and thumb print activity, clay moulding, dog face making activity, photo frame using ice-cream stick, colouring and fashion show. Their smiles tell it all.
We are proud to inform you that our shiksha ki asha program is continuing to provide support, care and education to 1000 children of 36 anganwadis.

We started our first intervention in Maval, a rural area in and around Pune during Covid. Although our first intervention started with providing ambulance support during the pandemic, we expanded our scope after the need based and impact-based assessments. When we started our mobile health service in December, our main aim was to provide proper treatment to pregnant women and malnourished children. Since 2 months of its successful functioning we have provided medical help to around 2000 patients. We have also inaugurated power generator installation in Primary Health Center in Takve. The generator was a need since so many patients were not provided with adequate medical attention due to frequent power cuts.
We are constantly working and collaborating with various stakeholders to bridge the urban-rural divide when it comes to accessing quality healthcare.
And we thank Gestamp Automotive for believing in us and for offering their kind support on this initiative.

It was during our child friendly railway intervention, we found out that not only children but also other citizens from vulnerable groups like elder citizens, women, persons with disabilities and mental illnesses also seek help. During the outreach, we also found a lot of people who are homeless and needed to be rehabilitated. Therefore, we started the โ€œHomeless Projectโ€ to rehabilitate homeless people who are stranded in the railway stations. So far we have conducted a survey with 78 homeless people.
We provide them food, blankets and other basic necessities.

Since April 2022, through our remedial education program Shiksha Ki Asha, we have been on a mission to make schools and anganwaadis Child Friendly. We have partnered with Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd to successfully make 7 schools (182 children) and 21 anganwaadis (700 children) child friendly. The purpose of the child friendly initiative in schools and anganwaadis is to promote a safe space whilst providing quality education. To ensure the safety of children we provide training to staff members and stakeholders that focuses on child rights & protection, child-friendly communication, mental health, and a design of a child protection policy. We regularly conduct need based assessments and parents-teachers meetings and provide capacity building and trainings.
To ensure a safe childhood for every child, we need to collaborate and work together. We need interventions that are holistic and starts from grassroot levels.

We initiated the first Mobile Health Unit in Pimpri, Maval block, Pune in association with Primary Health Care (PHC) and Panchayat Samiti.

Despite the efforts to provide accessible healthcare for all, members of vulnerable populations continue to experience disproportionately poor health outcomes, including low-income individuals, members of minority groups, and rural areas. The findings of our need based assessment that we have conducted with the village residents and healthcare professionals suggest that, there is a major gap in accessing essential medical services and facilities.

Such essential medical treatments can be delivered directly to underprivileged populations by mobile health services. Mobile health clinics offer a variety of services, such as urgent care, primary care, preventive health support as well as referral services. These units are affordable as well as accessible.

To provide their patients with medical and social assistance, they work in conjunction with neighbourhood organisations including gram panchayat, SHGs, Youth groups, Asha workers of 33 villages in the block, community health centres, and other hospitals and clinics.
