Siliguri, June 2023…...Round Table India’s local Table - Siliguri Tigers Round Table 274 - inaugurated 16 Classroom Blocks at Batasi Sarada Sishu Tirtha at the outskirts of Siliguri.

Sixteen classroom blocks were constructed at the said school which is located amidst lush gree tea gardens.

The infrastructure and facilities were inaugurated by school officials represented by Mr. Satimay Chaterjee, Mr. Kanai Mandal, Mr. Ranjit Biswas, Mr. Bimal Sinha and Mr. Maharaj Mandal & Round Table India represented by Mr. Vaibhav Jalan, Mr. Nilesh Singhani and Mr Praveen Garg in a function held on Sunday in the school premises.

Area 14 Chairman - Vaibhav Jalan said Education is a powerful tool that empowers communities to turn around their lives. Round Table India under its initiative Freedom Through Education with P & G Shiksha has been building schools and classrooms and creating school infrastructure. It has so far in the last 25 years since the initiative was announced constructed well over 7890 classrooms, and executed 3347 projects. The infrastructure built impacted 8.67 million children in India.

The project chairman Mr. Rahul Agarwal said Round Table India initiated Freedom Through Education (FTE) in 1998 and is building schools in India to give disadvantaged kids an education. Our goal is to exterminate illiteracy in India.

Siliguri, June 2023…...Round Table India’s local Table - Siliguri Tigers Round Table 274 - inaugurated 16 Toilet Blocks at Batasi Sarada Sishu Tirtha at the outskirts of Siliguri.

Under the Freedom Through Education Assist Program, Sixteen Toilet Blocks were constructed at the newly built school premises located in Batasi.

Round Table India represented by Mr Vaibhav Jalan re-asserted the importance of having sufficient toilet blocks at the newly built school so that the boys, girls and the teachers could have segregated restrooms. He also asserted that RTI will always be committed in their cause of education, and said all schools that will be built will be of utmost quality and standard.

The school authorities praised RTIs support in building classrooms and also the toilet blocks. The organization extended their greetings to Mr. Rahul Agarwal - who was in charge for the particular project.

Six classrooms, three toilet block each for girls and boys were constructed at the cost of Rs 27 lakhs.

The infrastructure and facilities were inaugurated by government officials represented by Mr. Rajib Chakraborty, Smt Mallika Roy, Mr. Lakho Mohan Roy and Smt Biva Haldar & Round Table India represented by Mr Praveen Garg in a function held on Sunday in the school premises.
