AYUDH Thiruvananthapuram recently received a plea for help from an aging mother to construct a toilet in their house. Her husband, who was a daily wages worker, had to undergo leg amputation which made it impossible for him to access their existing makeshift toilet facility. Ayudh volunteers got convinced of the dire need for help and immediately started the work. They contacted a local contractor, explored all possible ways to perform the construction in a cost effective way, with volunteers joining the construction work after office hours. By Amma's Grace, the work was completed successfully and the newly constructed toilet was handed over to the family on Sunday (26/03) in the presence of Swami Sivamritananda Puri and Br.Dhyeyamrita Chaitanya. Smt. Suma, the local councillor also joined the function and appreciated the efforts taken by the AYUDH team.
