🗳️ According to the European election law, all member countries must use a proportional electoral system. This means that the allocation of seats takes place in such a way that the different lists have a number of seats proportional to the votes received. Italy uses the preference vote, which gives voters the possibility to indicate, within the same list, from one to three preferences, voting, in the case of two or three preferences, candidates of the different s*x alternating between them. Determining the number of seats waiting for the list in each constituency, the candidates with the highest number of preferred votes are declared elected.
