Loneliness significantly contributes to depression in about 25% of adults aged 65 and older, with lonely seniors being 64% more likely to develop clinical depression. This is why at TETAwJEDDO we focus on visits as much as nutrition, knowing quite well the importance of company and support.

Taking our elders for walks is more than just exercise, it’s a way to bond, share stories, and create memories. These moments of connection bring joy, reduce loneliness, and promote physical well-being. This is why at TETAwJEDDO we encourage our elders to take walks as often as possible and even offer to come along to avoid any incidents, due to our elders’ fragile health.

Our elders have given us so much, and now it’s our turn to give back… Volunteer with TETAwJEDDO and Spend a few hours each week visiting an elder, helping with errands, or simply sharing a conversation. Your presence can make a world of difference!

Studies show that socially isolated older adults have a 50% increased risk of developing dementia. This is why at TETAwJEDDO we’ve been prioritizing visits just as much as food support since the start of our project. If you wish to volunteer with us drop us a DM!

After her last unfortunate incident while on a stroll, we were saddened to see Teta Samira home ridden, we just knew we had to step in with a walker. Seeing the smile on her face and knowing we’re making a difference in her mobility and independence is truly heartwarming.

Whenever we prepare a vegetarian dish for our tetas and jeddos we always add eggs on the side to make sure that we cover a healthy protein intake. Their wellbeing is priceless…

Dans le cadre du programme Hadkoun, les plats chauds sont distribués quotidiennement par 6 de nos partenaires : .liban_amitie

Élaborés dans les cuisines communautaires, leur contenu est revu par les expertes en nutrition du programme, afin d’assurer un apport en macronutriments suffisant et nécessaire à l’ensemble de nos bénéficiaires.

Depuis le mois de Septembre 2023 et jusqu’à Mars 2024, 295 618 ont déjà été distribués, et plus à venir.

Our tetas and jeddos get to savor today the rich flavors of lody's Riz 3a Djeij – a taste of Lebanon in every mouthful!

Choosing fresh meat over canned preserves the integrity of vitamins, and enzymes, maintaining nutritional quality. Processed meat has a higher level of salt and fat. This is why we recently replaced all canned products in our weekly bag with fresh alternatives, because we always want what’s best for our tetas and jeddos!

Choisir de la viande fraîche plutôt qu’en conserve préserve l’intégrité des vitamines et des enzymes, tout en maintenant la qualité nutritionnelle. La viande transformée a surtout un niveau plus élevé de sel et de gras. C’est pourquoi nous avons récemment remplacé tous les produits en conserve de notre sac hebdomadaire par des alternatives fraîches, car nous voulons toujours ce qu’il y a de mieux pour nos tetas et jeddos !
