Since its initiation in the year 1936, Ananda College Radio Club has prevailed ensuring its supremacy amongst contemporary school-based competitors.

Congratulations to Mahith Kodikara on being appointed as the President of the Radio Club of Ananda College for the years 2023-2024.

The Annual General Meeting for the year 2023 was concluded successfully on 24th of November with the appointment of the new Board of Officials for the years 2023/24.

We wish them all the very best, and may the blessings of Mother Ananda shine a light on their future endeavours.

Every year, the 18th of may is a day to commemorate the sacrifices made by our war heroes who protected the unity of our country's multicultural society regardless of race, religion and ethnicity.
We take this day as a chance to pay tribute to those who have been serving the nation in uniform amidst countless sacrifices, both at present and in the past.

1936 - 2023

The Radio Club Of Ananda College Celebrates it’s 87th glorious year of producing renowned personalities.
Founded by Late Sir. V. Kirithisinghe as a small media group to develop the media skills of students, the Ananda College radio club has grown to be the foremost school media unit in Sri Lanka.
Even though lack of knowledge an experience was an issue back then, today we have grown as an independent media personality spreading it’s glorious wings nationwide ruling
The School media arena while carrying the legacy of our predecessors through the years.

මෛත්‍රිය සහ සිහිය පිලිබද බුදුන් වහන්සේගේ ඉගැන්වීම් ආවර්ජනය කරන විට වෙසක් පොහෝ දින ඉතා වැදගත් අවස්තාවකි. බුදුරජානන් වහන්සේගේ තෙමගුල සිහි කරන වෙසක් පොහෝ දින අදට යෙදී තිබේ.

නව වසරේ සෞභාග්‍යය සෑම දෙනාටම එකම අයුරින් නොදැනුනත්,සෑම දෙනගේම සිත් සතන් එක ලෙසම සන්තෝසෙන් පිරි නොගියත්,ඉදිරි දිවිය සෞභාග්‍යමත් කරගන්නටත්,ක්‍රෝධය වෛරය අතැර මෛත්‍රිය කරුණාව වැනි පහන් සිතුවිලි සිතේ රෝපණය කර ගන්නත්, මේ අලුත් අවුරුද්දේ නැවුම් බව ආශිර්වාදයක් කර ගනිමු.

Ananda College Rowing Crew, led by the Captain, Shanil Siriwardhane was able to defend the the Junior Boy's Overall Championship title at the recently held Junior Nationals Regatta with 7, 1st Place winnings out of the 10 events entered.

Ananda College was able to secure 18 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, and 1 bronze medal and the Under 16 rowers we're able to win the Under 16 Four event with a record timing of 3 minutes and 33 seconds after 9 years beating St Thomas's College and Royal College.

Ananda College won the
the Under 18 quadruple scull event for the second consecutive year with a record timing of 6 minuites and 41 seconds.

Ananda College Basketball team was able to secure The Jayantha Wickramasinghe Trophy against Jaffna Hindu College with a score of 74-24. We wish the victorious team all the best in their future endeavours and may the blessings of Mother Ananda be with them.

Ananda College Rowing Crew was able to secure the Schools Nationals Overall Boys Championship along with the Under 20 Boys category Championship after 7 years at the recently held Sri Lanka Schools Rowing Nationals Regatta.

Ananda College was able to score 35 points with a lead of 15 points with 14 gold medals and 1 silver medal creating the highest number of coloursmen in a crew sport at Ananda College

Yet Another Milestone For Ananda College. Kaveesha Gimhan Silva was named as the All Island Best Swimmer of the year 2022 after winning the 50m Butterfly,50m Freestyle with a New Meet Record and the 100m Butterfly.
