- Qualified as a Chartered Accountant
- PricewaterhouseCoopers in East Africa, London, and Sri Lanka, where he was a founder partner and retired as Territory Senior Partner
- Served as Chairman, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
- Post-retirement served on several PLCs (JKH. CTC, Chevron, Softlogic, Cargills and Ambeon) as a non-executive director
- Honored with the national titular award, Deshamanya, by President CBK.
